Aspendos Turkish Kebab House

March 2022 Update - Got to introduce some friends to the place and it is still as good as it was. This time, we asked our waitress to suggest what the best way to sample as much as possible was, and she created a sampler plate for us (see picture). The place is BYOB and we brought our own wine. For a gut-stuffing and incredibly tasty meal, with corkage fee, we spent $25 per person. Great food, great service, great place. Still highly recommended! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Very nice addition to this bustling part of Mt. Lebanon. While part of a small local chain, we could not have been more pleased with the taste of the food and the quality of service we received. Being first timers, we ordered a variety of combo meals. Each came with rice and a salad. The salads were dressed and tasty. The rice had some toasted orzo in it along with herbs and butter. The main stars were the grilled meats though. Between the super flavorful lamb cubes, spicy ground chicken, cubed chicken, and gyro meat with sauces, we were very happy. Our server was great. She constantly made sure we were satisfied, brought more water, explained the differences in the dishes, and was able to joke around with us while taking care of other tables as well. Between our means look s, appetizer, baklava for dessert and tea, we spent about 25 per person.

You can tell they make everything with quality ingredients. The best pitas I have had from a restaurant! SO good, clearly house-made. The rice is plump and has plenty of pine nuts. Babaghanoush has a well rounded flavor and pleasantly chunky. A little pricey for some of the meat options, but worth it. Will be making this a part of the weekend rotation from now on.

Definitely recommend this place to everyone! We started with babagonush and lebne also we got piyaz(white bean salad with chopped veggies). Appetizers were outstanding, very delicious. My husband ordered mixed lamb shish and adana kebab Shish was very juicy and tender absolutely must try👌🏻 I ordered mixed chicken shish and chicken adana kebab. Chicken was well seasoned and tender chicken adana was amazing as well. Service is exceptional, we had our food within 15 min(which is pretty quick). For dessert we had baklava with turkish tea. Baklava was fresh and crispy. We will definitely be back:)

The staff was attentive and wonderful. The food quality was excellent. The lamb gyro meat was juicy and flavorful, as were the chicken and lamb kebabs. I’ve never once commented on rice in a review, but their pilaf was so fluffy and tender that it merits mention. The pita was fresh, tender and fluffy also.
