Saravanaa Bhavan

First one to enter at opening time but could not get the attention to place our order only after almost FIFTEEN tables had managed to get theirs ahead of us. The Staff Lead was three feet away from our table micromanaging his team and despite looking at us directly he was unwilling to take our order because that was presumably the job of the subordinates. The food naturally was fresh and served quickly. Of course, we were given someone else's order at the first attempt. Second attempt was fine and verified through the PDA. The Uttapam was on a diet (too thin and too crispy) but may be satisfactory for other customers. Uttapam should never be rushed on high heat; sadly our serving did not adhere to this culinary principle. We had requested paper thin and crispness for the dosa and again the serving did not honor our request. After all, it is a fast food joint and the management goals enshrine speedy service and not quality dishes. I failed to understand how the Staff Lead was so intent on micromanaging and yet failed to get someone to check the state of the restrooms at opening time. The seating areas are well cleaned but all those spots and stains on the fabrics leads me to believe that the wrong cleaning solvent is being used. Finally, during a pandemic, it is regretful that torn, tattered and offensively dirty hardcopy menus are handed to customers without even cursory sanitization.

Ordered saravana bhavan special dosa, mini idly, dahi vada and coffee. Food tastes ok and the quality is good. Quantity of chutney and sambar served is less. Mini idly and dahi vada are good. This has a good seating capacity and well maintained. Customer service is good too. Overall i would recommend to try once

Unless you are local to this restaurant and know how busy the place and taste is, don’t go for this restaurant. This is all about the name so called Saravanan Bhavan but not in terms of taste or quality. We ordered Dosas Vada Poori and Uthappam. Except Dosa all others are bad in taste and quality. Dosa is good but it’s expensive. There are places where you can go for breakfast buffet with much better price and quality. Uthappam pictures are added

Arguably the best South Indian food in the neighborhood. Weekends will need some planning as wait times exceed 10mins, especially standing near the door with very limited space. Food is decent but some items also have exceptionally long wait times of 30mins or so. It is also ideal to split bigger groups into 2 to get seating faster.

Awesome and very flavorful food. We has masala dosa, onion chilli uttapam, idli and medu vada. Everything was fresh and super tasty. Our order was quickly taken on a handheld device and came in less than 10 mins. Payments were also quickly done on handheld device by server. Brilliant ambience and comfortable seating. Please go and enjoy great family time.
