Madurai Thattu Kadai

The worst food I ever had in the States. Their food spoilt my day in a big way, If you are Vegetarian better stay away from this place in Irving. We ordered Goni-65 as a starter, and we found it to have been fried a second time in Oil as it was burnt and tasting the same way Second one was the Idiyappam with Cocunut Milk, The Coconut Milk was made out of Oily coconut and tasted spoilt and the worst was the Hotel staff contesting it, as I only requested them not to serve it to another person. We ordered Fried Rice and they gave us Curry Fried rice which was neither Biriyani nor Fried Rice. We got deceived with the name Madurai and ordered Jigarthanda, and with me hailing from South Tamil Nadu, this Jigarthanda was not even an imitation worth mentioning. The only saving grace seemed to be the mutton Sukka because I am Vegeterian and my wife being Non Vegetarian, she certified it as a saving grace for the day Regret selecting this place for my Anniversary Dinner

This was the first time we ordered to go from here some days back. We liked the ambiance and seating arrangements, overall setup. It felt comfortable sitting there though we just were waiting for our order that was being ready. We had ordered parotta with vegetable korma for two people. The food was great 👍🏻. The curry, vegetable korma was a bit spicy but tasty. You might want to tell them to make curry mild while ordering if not a fan of very spicy food. The staff was friendly too. Also they have live kitchen there so if interested you can see food being prepared.

This is the first time I tried this restaurant. The ambiance was pretty awesome, they were movie posters all over the place and the seating was like picnic benches made it look very authentic. When it comes to food it was pretty good but on the spice your side love the fact that it was open kitchen so we could see what is being cooked. Overall pretty good food what is the try

The taste of the food at this place just takes you back to the hotels in Tamil Nadu, India. The ambience and the theme of the the restaurant is just like in South India. My favourites here are Idyappam with coconut milk and Veg Kothu parotta since I prefer vegetarian. This place is know for non-veg food 🥘 and must visit if your craving for some non-veg South Indian food.

We really disappointed today as we asked for ordering at the front desk two parotos that 2 piece but ended up seeing four pieces not sure what they informed to us in the front desk also terrible veg kuruma and paroto is not good at all , I don’t find minus or zero star hence giving only one star this shop required more improvements on the cooking side also like front desk order taking person required to provide more details about the order and menus

Came here thinking I could get some decent south Indian food but was greeted with a musky environment and poor service. Food quality didn't justify price and bathrooms looked like someone peed on the floor and tried to clean it up with a toothbrush. Tables are not cleaned well. The only plus side this place has is that there are good portion sizes and that service was fairly quick. Although portions are large, the curry is extremely oily and diluted with water or the like.
