Lucky City

Lucky City is just ok for me. We ordered a few dishes and they weren't anything spectacular. The roasted duck that they proudly display in the restaurant wasn't anything special. Matter of fact, the duck that I ordered was cold and the portion size was lacking especially with the price that they charge. The other dishes that I ordered was the kong pao chicken (3/5), sweet and sour fish (3/5), and deep fried squid (4/5). These dishes were around 10$ which I thought was disappointing in flavor. The waiter was nice and the food came out on decent time. Other than that, they need to step up their game.

3 or 4 dishes for a cheap price. Ample servings which can feed a family. The service is fast and they are kind. This is a traditional Taiwanese restaurant and the dishes are not for each person but served family style. The restaurant is moderately clean. The food is hot and fresh, bold flavors and well prepared.

Super fans for lucky city over 5 years, no idea why still to go only, and waiting area less than 10sqft fill many waiting customers. Last time I waited over 30 minutes and two kids in car. Maybe boss found less stuff to running to go only will make more money. If no special reason I won’t come here anymore

Summary: service was fine, but food was served rather cold, and the duck was basically inedible I got the BBQ pork and roast duck over rice. Everything tasted fine, but it came out lukewarm and was cold halfway through the meal. In addition, all 5 pieces of duck that I got were basically inedible - all bone, fat, and gristle. I think I got about 1 decent mouthful of duck meat out of the whole meal. The BBQ pork and the *skin* of the duck tasted good, but that wasn’t even remotely enough to make up for the other problems. Also, I do not know how this place is marked as “having a great tea selection.” I asked for green tea and they said the only tea they served was jasmine (which was good, incidentally. But they definitely don’t have a large selection.) I will definitely not be back.
