Sanctuary Lakes Function Centre

Recently had a function at this venue, a BIG Thank You to management & staff for a fantastic evening, great food from the Antipasto platters through to dessert, great service & the function room was perfect. Excellent set up of the function room by staff, nothing was ever a problem so accommodating to all our needs. I would highly recommend this venue for a function. A hidden gem to be honest of this function space. Thank you once again to everyone at Sanctuary Lakes Function centre for a great night.

Perfect risotto and a soothing view. This little restaurant had flavour-packed, filling portions, calm moody lighting, a lovely view over sanctuary lake and pleasant wait staff. I could honestly go on for pages about how perfect this risotto was but everyone has their own idea of risotto perfection. Needless to say this was mine. The seafood spaghettini tasted beautifully seafoody (I am told, seafood being my partner's thing), and the curry was gentle and rich served with super soft naan for mopping up every last drop.

We visited this place for my mother's birthday dinner. We had booked in advance for 6 adults and four children. The restaurant was small but empty. Our waiter looked like he was in training, he didn't really know the menu. The food came relatively quickly and it was ok. Nothing to rave about and quite pricey for what it is. The kid's meals were a good size. We stayed at the restaurant for around 2 hours. Our table was never cleared . Even our deserts were brought into the mess. We had to wait for our deserts for about 20 minutes or longer. What disappointed me the most is that i asked for my mother's cake to be brought in with the candle and the waitress literally almost ran with it and didn't even light the candle until she brought it on to the mess of a table. I felt as if she completely ruined the moment and the surprise.

The food is great! Some of the best cooked calamari I have ever eaten. The chef had exceeded my expectations of the quality of the food. I had the Lobster Linguine which is to die for. The waiters could've been a little more polished, but the service was good, just a little slow at times. I would've given 4.5* of I could. I will definitely go back.

We went there for lunch and our son felt unwell. He’s just started eating and felt sick, he didn’t make it to the toilet and vomited outside of the restaurant. I helped my son first and then went to the bar to apologise. The staff (man in charge I believe) made me clean the carpet and was very rude. No one asked me if my son was ok or if we needed any help. The staff haven’t responded to the accident in the appropriate manner haven’t shown any empathy or humanity . We definitely will not be back
