Fabulous fish and chips! A queue waiting patiently for their orders is always a good sign. Honestly, the best batter we've ever had - beautiful and crisp, without drying the fish out too.

Very busy on Good Friday.
I didn't fancy paying £11 for fish and chips, so settled for a portion of onion rings, chips and a pickled onion for £6.20.
Onion rings were pretty average and the chips were very good.
Will edit if I go back

Possibly the best chippy in the world? We think so! Absolutely delicious food, always friendly service and value for money if you have a family to feed.

Edit 10/01/2023 - Happy to say they seem to be back to their great tasting and quality food. Much more recommended.
Original post - I used to love this place. Been using it since it opened. But recently the chips have become dry and old/refried. Tonight I had dry and old chips, the chicken burger was like chewing rubber. My wife's pineapple fritter was soggy and had no crisp at all. Sad to see it slide down, there are now much better options within a mile or so

Excellent. Staff were happy and friendly, chips were fluffy and hot, not too greasy. Battered sausage was perfect, and my wife had their home made fish cake, which was buttery and super tasty. First time here, and I'll definitely be back 👍👍

Had a great lunch from here, the fish was fresh, the chips were tasty. Portion sizes were good and the curry sauce was delicious. The staff were also very pleasant, altogether a lovely experience

Very clean chip shop, very pleasant and polite staff, lots of choices available, always cooked fresh to order. Only criticism i have, there is probably a few chips difference between the standard and the large, considering the large is more expensive you would expect a large portion size, not a standard with a few more chips on the side.
