Drove down from Bath to try a legendary roast at rob's, a 2 hour trip. Legendary fails to describe how good an experience it was, although it was our first time visiting, within moments we were made to feel like old friends. The whole experience was one big pleasure, superbly cooked food, the staff were friendly and caring to all of the customers, giving the place the atmosphere of a family gathering. Definitely planning a return trip.

We LOVE this place! They do the absolute best roast and fantastic brekkies.
I promise you will not be disappointed. The guys that run it are the loveliest most genuine people you could meet.

A rough and ready shack, but don't let that fool you. Mark, the chef, is one of the friendliest people you're likely to meet, and his food is really good.
Not the cheapest place to eat, but the portions are generous and clearly made from quality ingredients.
Even the sausages used in the hot dogs are his own recipe and made exclusively for him.
And how many other places do you know that serve chip butties? Or dirty chip butties (with cheese and paprika)

Lovely people and great food. Rob is very friendly, Megan is a lovely server and Marks food is delicious. Dirty fries and the hotdog are gorgeous. All round great food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
And for an evening meal, bring your own alcohol! Even better!

Popped in for a breakfast roll and it didn't disappoint! Sausages were good quality meat from a local butcher, egg was cooked to perfection. Probably the best I've had round here. Really friendly and chilled atmosphere. Super dog friendly too which makes the visit even more welcoming :) lovely friendly staff who enjoy chatting to customers! Look forward to coming back for a stone baked pizza.

I had a wonderful time with my colleagues from Poole hospital at Rob’s Filling Station. The food was absolutely amazing from appetizers to the main course and dessert.Steaks were perfectly cooked.The owner of the restaurant was very accommodating and friendly. Thanks Rob and Mark for a wonderful Sunday roast! The food was absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere made for a great lunch. Was too full after a great roast to try the wonderful desserts on offer but I’m sure my family will be back soon!
100% recommend to anyone passing through to come for a great meal and great company.
