St Tropez Lounge

Walking past and a local resident recommended the restaurant to us. Service is a credit to the restaurant, friendly, lighthearted making us feel very at ease and relaxed. Food was delicious but could only manage starter & main. Will have to go back to try the desserts. At no time did we have wait to try to get the waiters attention. Owner of this family run business brought the bill and continued the lighthearted atmosphere we had enjoyed throughout the meal. Next time we go to Poole we will go again. Thank you.

Posh. Very nice food, lots of seafood and drink options not so much non sea food, but what they do have is really nice e.g the steak & sides. Great service. They are always looking after you. It is expensive. The views are ok, but the restaurant would be better located somewhere a bit posher for the prices, and I live nearby. If you are like me you might need to Google some of the options on the menu. Although they are happy to answer any questions or recommend.

Food was amazing 😍 when we went in Aug We ordered starters: bouillabaisse & scallops, AND main courses: skate wing & fish pie, but portions were bigger than we expected (main courses came w 2 sides) so couldn't eat it all. Staff really friendly & helpful (even on busy sat evening) and beautiful views across the Quay. Would def go again 😊

***** Highly recommend ***** I enjoyed the early service, before 19:30, I’m sure that the later evening would of been just as delightful :) Excellent food, with great service, if you happen to be in Poole and want an exquisite fish dinner, with a fantastic seaside atmosphere on the quay, The Resturant is tastefully appointed with simple but authentic French cuisine, and decor, The cold prawns are delightful full of flavour and I understand the tempura are the favourite but I recommend the flavour vs convenience ;) It is run by passionate people who know food, you can tell because they are attentive and keep checking if you are enjoying the dishes. The escargot was made with unsalted butter which allowed me to manage the flavour and it was also tasty :) The lemon sole is fantastic!! It’s tempura style but oh so light, the garnish is also sweet with chilli which compliments the tempura with balance and edge… slight heat And a fresh samphire garnish to add salinity to the dish, ideal! Don’t go by yourself there is too much good food and you need to share it, you will enjoy it more. French desert does not discount and this once the crème brûlée was decent and a good choice to close off the dinner. I leave satisfied and will return.
