Been traveling to Portland for business since 2009. During one trip someone took me here for lunch and it's been my default ever since. It oozes small town charm and the food is great.

Wonderful place for lunch. Excellent service and the cakes are fabulous!! The yellow with chocolate frosting reminded me of baking with my grandmother and was a wonderful reminder of childhood. I’ll be back for more!

I just have so many great things about this place, from the delicious food, food for all tastes, unique gifts for everyone or gifts to you from you. The setting in the beautiful white house and in a quaint little town known for their annual "Strawberry Festival". There are several little eclectic shops nestled in this great town. Another little shop you can't leave without visiting is "Bloomin Deals", 252 TN-52, Portland, TN 37148. Definitely something for everyone from new to antiques. I won't tell you anymore so you can get the great experience of shopping this awesome shop. Have fun!!! 🍓🍰

Love this quaint diner and gift shop combo! Our group of four had lunch and then we spent some time walking around the store. Lunch was delicious and reasonably priced. We got out, 25% tip and all, for $55. Tons of gift items in the store as well. It goes on and on forever. Make time to find your way here. You won't be disappointed!

This is an old home that's been turned into a combined restaurant and gift shop. The gift shop is stocked by individuals that display their own clothing and Decor in individual rooms. The restaurant staff is helpful and friendly, and the food is delicious. I have eaten there several times.

5 Chefs has the most divine cakes. We ventured from Nashville to Portland one day and came across this restaurant and I am glad we stopped in. The restaurant is housed in an old farm house with an addition. It is a charming place with great food and cute shops. The food is wonderful and service is excellent. If you don't have time for anything else, make sure to grab a slice of cake on your way out. A truly fascinating place.
