Ruth's Chris Steak House

This place was recommended by a co-worker so we decided to give it a shot. We got a reservation since it seems like they book up quick. My wife and I had steaks and everything was good. Final bill for the two of us was over $200 and we don't drink so expect to pay a decent amount for the night. Overall it was good but there wasn't a dish that really stood out to us. They staff were all super nice and very attentive.

Best place to go for a date night! We love Ruth’s Chris for the vibe, service and most importantly- Food!! Excellent service, we had made a reservation earlier that day which was super easy to do on their website. We were greeted by the hostess upon arrival and she let us know our table was almost ready. Waited about 10 min, but that was because we got there about 15 min early (hoping on a Tuesday evening it wouldn’t be too crowded). We shared 2 appetizers, the goat cheese and artichoke dip and seared ahi tuna. Both were excellent and not too filling. My husband ordered the ribeye and I ordered the filet. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection! We ended our night with their classic cheesecake dessert. We left happy, filled with incredible food and eager to return! It’s a must visit steakhouse! I love that it’s not only a Portland restaurant, but that we can enjoy it most any state that we would travel to.

4.5 stars. I've been there a couple of times. The first time had filet, garlic mashed potato, and wine. The second time ordered chicken and New York strip. The meat was great, chicken was pretty good, garlic mashed potato was good but could be better. The next time if i order meat, it would be filet. Great service! Will visit again!

Ruth Chris is at the top of our list for dining in Portland. Tonight we celebrated our anniversary and Cody made it special and memorable. This was not the first time Cody has taken care of us and he is always friendly, upbeat, and knowledgeable about the menu and how to create an optimal dining experience.

Great service from Mark! He was a pleasure to have as a server. Parking can be bad, depending on time/day. They do have Valet, as trying to find street parking can be hard. Very clean, nice, and upscale feeling restaurant. You will be spending $60 min. Per person for steaks. Our steaks were very good and they do cook a true rare on my fillet. Their wine selection was large, although being a Sonoma/Alexander valley wine "snob"... None stood out as great for my wife and I. Service again was great, the food was given four stars just simply due nothing really stood out as amazing. For the price and quality- would I be back? Probably not by choice. It was a let down on "presentation"... Yes, it's a la carte- although I would have expected better "looks" than a steak that seemed like it was sous vide and grilled- then tossed onto a plate and tossed into an oven or a potato just tossed on a plate.

Celebrated milestone birthday. We were greeted warmly. Table setup was nice. Brandi provided excellent service. She helped us navigate menu and gave us great recommendations. Offered extensive knowledge of menu offerings. She is a professional. Pace of service was good. Food was excellent. Lamb chops were tasty and well seasoned. Shrimp and ribeye was awesome. Loved sides; lobster mac and cheese and creamed spinach. Took advantage of midweek specials and saved some $$$ and got great parking, while avoiding crowds.

Excellent in all respects, as one would expect (with the usual prices to match). Had lobster and creme brulee for the first time, both great. Used the sea of cheese from the macaroni to dip bread and top the side of mashed potatoes. Top notch service to boot. Would come back and try something from the limited happy hour menu next time.
