Jake's Grill

I recommended this restaurant to my family visiting the area, celebrating a milestone anniversary. It's located downtown and was easy to find. We booked a last-minute dinner reservation at 5 pm, and they received a text message to confirm their reservation. They were seated right away, upon arrival, and the wait staff took their drink order. The wait staff was friendly and the atmosphere and ambiance were relaxing. The wait staff was attentive, and the food menu suggestions were good. This restaurant is big and spacious with plenty of room for events. The food was excellent. They ordered prime rib and the short rib stroganoff, with onion soup. The stroganoff melted in your mouth, the onion soup was perfect, hot, and tasty. They suggested a great white wine, and they brought them a lovely decadent chocolate dessert. My family had a fantastic experience and has been raving all evening. I'm so glad I found this restaurant! It made their special day perfect.

Our waiter was very helpful and considerate. My lunch order came to the table at a very good time. Once I started eating, our waiter came back and quickly noted that they had made the wrong sandwich. Almost immediately, the waiter returned with the correct sandwich. The first sandwich that was delivered was offered to me as a to go option if I wanted it. Since I had not started eating it, I agreed to have it boxed to go home with me.

Wow! We were expecting a burger joint because of the name, but this was a fine dining experience! From appetizers through dessert we were blown away. We started with a Dungeness crab and lobster dip that was amazing! I was excited to see duck on the menu, took the risk of ordering it (it's easy to mess it up), and was rewarded with the best I've ever had!! Everyone's entrees were delicious and had ample servings. The server had great wine suggestions. They were a bit chattier than we would have preferred, but still provided great service. Dessert, Bananas Foster, was decadently delectable! I highly recommend this restaurant!!
