Dove Vivi

Picked up two amazing pizzas. Got the classic caramelized onion and corn and a half Quatro and half pepperoni. All were excellent. I must admit! The recommended a lovely wine and (I got 30% off on the wine) as it was a take out order, tried the cabbage salad and everything was excellent. Can't go wrong!

Food is pretty good but it's really cramped noisy and busy place. Wait on a Friday night was over an hour, not my scene but I was eating with friends. It's ok but nothing here is worth that wait. If you can get it off peak and want something other than normal pizza for a change it's a good option. Just know what you are getting into before you go, this is not what most people would call pizza, but I did like it. Had the veggie pizza which was good. They have weird specials sometimes like a Bahn mi pizxa my friends got which was pretty ok but not my favorite (I love mayo and I love pizza but they are an odd combo). If you are paying pdx COL it's so you can eat at places like this, so you better go try it!

BEST. PIZZA. EVER. I’ve been coming here since they opened way back in the day. It was great then, even better today and I just love that they continue to hold it down on 28th and Glisan. If you’ve never had cornmeal crust pizza, you gotta stop here and try it. My faves: Blue Thyme, Pesto and the Corn pizza. They have fun specials, local beer/wine, desert and salsa. Nice kids menu too. Cozy vibes, great staff and I still see the owners in the kitchen almost every time I visit. Dove Vivi is a gem of a spot. Get there and eat some pizza!

Dove Vivi is pretty great overall! First off, the atmosphere is chill. There’s a spacious outdoor deck and the indoor area has a nice, kinda romantic vibe with a few candles on the tables. When I got there, the daily specials caught my eye, but I opted for the Chef’s Choice pizza. It’s a combo of their best pizzas, and it’s definitely enough for two or maybe even three people. Had some leftovers, so you won’t go hungry. The pizza is a deep-dish style with a thick, flavorful crust. It’s a unique take, but it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. Personally, I’d love to see more crust options. If you’re into thin crust, you might feel a bit limited. All in all, solid place with good vibes and pizza that’s mostly a hit. It’s a 4/5 for me mainly because I’d like more crust options. Worth a visit for sure!

I’ve been coming here since I moved to Portland back in 2011. The most unique pizza experience in town, the cornmeal crust on this wonderfully deliscious deep dish pie is incredible. The corn and sausage remians my go to. Their salads are excellent, great wines and beers, and the service is always friendly and efficient . It’s a small place (inside and outside) and a busy spot so get there early or be patient, it’s worth the wait.
