Mod Pizza

I've been coming here almost weekly for a couple of years. I've ordered online mostly and never once had a single issue, mistake, or burnt pizza. I love the no-name cakes too. Even though they're packed full of sugar, I just can't help myself. They greet everyone when they walk in, staff is always friendly, pizza comes out relatively fast.

Great staff and pleasant manager. Prices are reasonable as well. When you first enter the establishment you'll notice the communal-style layout with long tables and benches & stools along the north facing windows. As you queue around to the counter, you'll be asked what size/style of pizza you would like and anything else you want. There are 3 sizes, salads and the like. Pizzas are made to your liking ie: any toppings and any amount you'd want.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to grab your knives and forks and dig into the cheesy goodness that is Mod Pizza! Now, I know what you're thinking, "another pizza place, really?" But trust me, this ain't your average pie joint. The beauty of Mod Pizza lies in its concept - YOU are the master of your pizza destiny. Want to put pineapple and jalapenos on your pizza? Go ahead, you pizza rebel, you! But be warned, my fellow foodies, don't let your toppings run amok like a herd of wild horses. A pizza with too many toppings is like a first date with too much cologne - overwhelming and a little off-putting. Pro tip: opt for the thicker crust and make sure it's cooked well-done. It's like the crust is getting a second chance at life and it's coming out crispy and delicious! Now, let's talk about the staff. These folks are nicer than a basket of puppies in a field of flowers. And let's be honest, in downtown Portland, sometimes nice staff are harder to come by than a unicorn on roller skates. Sure, it might not be the best neighborhood, but who cares? You're not there for the real estate, you're there for the pizza.
