Taqueria Nueve

Taqueria Nueve is my favorite taco spot in Portland. Their tacos are all very traditional and they carry many varieties that other Portland taquerias do not. Their lengua tacos are my favorite and I find myself thinking about them often. The servers are all very accommodating and kind while providing excellent service. Please check this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

Met a friend for happy hour. She said they had a great Caesar salad. Which they did. You can order a half salad too which I love. And I did. I saw later you can get ceviche on top which would be great. Next time. We had chips and guacamole with 3 housemate salsas and they were all tasty. I had a barbacoa taco and a calabacitas taco that had roasted spaghetti squash.so good! I had a pineapple 🍍 margaritas with house infused chile tequila, and the el jefe, which is their version of a Cadillac. The bartender was very kind and knowledgeable as my friend sampled many of their mezcal selections. There were very many. It was good 👍 lots of seating inside and outdoors. Looking forward to. My next visit!

Must try the Beef Suadero tacos (they are pretty close to the ones we have had in Mexico (but its a different cut of meat that is white but beef). We popped in for date night and ordered Guac & chips and Tacos (Barbacoa, Beef Suadero and Chicken) Claim to fame largest selection of Mezcal on Portland - akin to Matador's largest Tequila selection in Portland (not a fan of either beverage) but they have a great Guava Cider that I tried and dear wife got a spicy mango froz3n drink. It's a nice place to add to our inventory If place to return for more meals
