Cassidy's Restaurant

Has been wonderful for decades and picked up right where it left off before the pandemic. Some of the loveliest servers anywhere, incredible food and cocktails, and somehow rarely busy (which, it should be said, says absolutely nothing about the quality of literally everything here). It should be packed, but the whims of the public are mysterious. So for right now, it's quiet, and the service is lightning fast. Here's hoping folks rediscover this gem of a Portland institution.

A Portland classic hidden gem. Aside from the delicious food with killer specials, Cassidy’s has romantic lighting and an old Hollywood feel almost to the likes of a speakeasy. It’s rustic and refined at the same time. Enjoy the local art on the walls and the candles on the tables. Come early for a family meal, take advantage of the generously late hours for a date, or come alone and sit at the bar (the bartenders are great). And if you get the chance to try the Rockfish special, take it. 10/10.

The food here was absolutely incredible! The beef sirloin was done perfectly and the Cassidy's burger was hands down the best burger I've ever had. The chef absolutely knows what he is doing! Our waiter/bartender Shane was phenomenal! So helpful and kind. The vibe is very cozy and warm. This became one of our new go to spots in Portland tonight!

We just had a great late-night supper after a concert at the Crystal Ballroom. The service was fantastic, and our drinks were so good. Hubby had the sirloin, medium well - it was cooked perfectly on the first try - and flourless chocolate cake. I had the (amazing) gnocchi and lamb ragu and the Pear Colette. Fielder's choice old fashioned and Manhattan were made with Bulleit. I had the Manhattan and it was so refreshing to have it on the drier side. This is a great place with a speakeasy vibe, and I can't wait to come back.

Made a reservation for 10, table was ready when we arrived. Our server was very polite and answered all questions about the menu. The Appetizers were delicious, shrimp corn cakes and chicken spring rolls. Our entries were served hot and our entire party was served at one time. The entries had very nice presentations. My lamb ragu was delicious, the meat was very tender and flavorful. My wife's pork shank with polenta was super tender. Our entire party was very satisfied with their meals. Well done to the entire staff🙏🙏
