This restaurant has been here since we moved to Portland in 2006, though I think it's been here for far longer. It's definitely worth a try though weekdays are quieter so might be better for a first time. Also they have trouble with large parties, so call ahead to check.

Truly good food with large portions. The place is small and there was only one person working there that evening, so service took a bit. Still, it was very much worth the experience and it's obvious that this place was loved by the locals.

Great food and so much of it too! Service is good for such a small operation. Def a favorite stop in NE.

Come in, seat yourself, and be patient; you can't rush perfection! Great people, great vibe, great food. Get the communal option and bring your best friends for an amazing giant pizza that isnt a pizza. 💯💥💫

This is one of our go-to dinner spots as a family. The food is amazing, filling, delicious and flavorful. The staff/owners are great. It's truly a family-run place. And though we don't go as often as we like, they always remember us!

One woman running all the stuff the day we came so it was a bit slow to order and pay but the woman was nice and direct, hardworking. Great mix of vegetables and hood spicy lamb. Just wish we could order even more vegetables on our Injera bread.

First time eating here and I didn’t know it is eaten with your hands but I guess that is an experience in itself. I ordered the potatoes and green beans with carrots “Atakilt Alicha,” green salad, and sautéed beef tips with veggies “Alicha tibs.” Yummy food. I will try a little more spicy next time but she was great. Plus the bread is gluten free if you like bread.

Been trying to expand my culinary horizons and with some encouragement from friends, decided to try Ethiopian cuisine. A search on the Internet showed Queen of Sheba as one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in Portland. So, we gave it a try and weren't disappointed. The restaurant is small and somewhat dark which made reading the menu a challange. My wife and I ordered the vegetarian sampler for 2 which included a nice variety of ten mildly spicy options placed on top of injera bread on a large platter. It took a little practice using the injera bread to scoop up the food and get it into my mouth without dropping it. But,that made the experience feel much more authentic. The food had good flavor and I think next time I need to try one of the meat dishes with the spicier berber sauce.
