Heart Coffee

Came here in between work meetings. I didn’t do research ahead of time that they didn’t have wifi. But honestly, it wasn’t a big deal. I just ended up using my hotspot to check email and found myself just wanting to enjoy my tea. I appreciate the coffee shop trying to encourage an atmosphere where you’re talking to each other and enjoying your coffee. I was impressed by the barista’s knowledge about tea. Most places I go to will BOIL the water and thus burn the tea. Not here. Perfect temperature and set up for my green tea. Will definitely be coming back.

The coffee here is absolutely delicious, and even though it's brewed by a machine, they dial it in so well every day! The pastries seem to be from the local Farina bakery which is a fantastic choice. I was surprised they didn't have wifi available. Is that to minimize the time customers spend or is it simply a cost cutting measure? The barista was apologetic about it and suggested I use a hotspot on my phone. I'll come back for coffee beans but not to dine in.

Beautiful coffee shop situated in a trendy foody neighborhood. If you are planning on eating at Screen Door and have a half hour or longer wait then walk two or three minutes down the street here. You can enjoy high quality coffee delivered with great service and pass the time on the Screen Door wait-list. The wonderful barista poured my partner a drip coffee but noted that it didn't fill her cup and that more would be brewed in a minute or two. My partner and I got lost in conversation and the barista took the time to bring over a carafe of coffee and top off our to go cup with great service.
