Carlita's

First time here, sat at the bar just after they opened. Happy hour! From 4-6 on weekdays, they have their alternate menu. I went with the pazole. It came out with a lot of radish and cilantro on top, but it was quite good. The toppings added crunch to the sopa. A little bit of heat, but i really liked it. Next, the carne asada and hongo tacos. A lot of greens on the hongo taco, and the carne asada was too packed with food for the corn tortilla. Not complaining, instead I adapted and used a fork to eat some of the bulk down, then did the normal taco thingy. Pretty delicious I must say. The ladies here were very welcoming from the start. The ambiance is nice, and I would say romantic. The music, club vibes, possibly too loud. But i liked it. Hope to come back on my short stay here in town.

Came here for a quick bite and to watch the game because the Fields was too loud and crowded. Felt like we had the place to ourselves! Quiet and chill so we loved the atmosphere. Quiet when we went but probably because it's Sunday football so everyone's either at home or watching the game at a sports bar. Ordered elote, chicken tortilla soup, chorizo queso with chips, and a short rib taco. Everything was really flavorful and our bartender was great and attentive. I would definitely come back to try more items and their cocktails.

Amazing food and service. The nachos are consistently mind-blowing good. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is great. If I was to make any improvements, it would be reduce the audio level by about 3-8db depending on the song playing. Playlist is great but you definitely need to choose your sitting if you want a quieter atmosphere. The outdoor sitting is a fantastic alternative. This restaurant is one my favorite in all of Portland and I will continue to enjoy the service. Thank you for the great service!

Lovely patio seating and ambience, excellent cocktails. The reason I’m giving 3 stars is that the food was sub par. We tried the 3 vegan tacos and they were ok. Update: Oct 2022 We tried Carlita’s again for a date night dinner and had a really great time! Drinks and food were awesome - vegan tacos are not the best I’ve had but they were quite tasty. We also tried the Walla Walla Papas this time and they were very delicious!

Carlita's is one of my favorite places to visit in Portland. Delicious food and drinks!🥙🥂 Recently my husband and I visited this lovely little place for a date day!💕 Great atmosphere and the staff is so friendly! 🥰 I knew what I wanted to eat but I was undecided when it came to picking a cocktail 🤔(I was mulling over if I wanted a Margarita or some else altogether). Our waitress encouraged me in the margarita direction and recommended their limit time kiwi blend... and their passion fruit blend.🍹 I'm not much of a kiwi person so I decided to go with passion fruit and I'm soooo glad I did it was delicious! 😋🍹 If you're looking for a fun place to eat and drink, you can't go wrong with Carlita's! 💯💕
