My favorite coffee in the neighborhood! And I love the 20% added gratuity.. the workers deserve it! I do wish there were vegan food and pastry options.. maybe one day? :)

This is a bit out of my way from where I live but my visit to Seastar Bakery has been definitely worth the trip. I had a day-old Grainbowl bread which still tasted delicious on the third day. I also had a lovely coffee cake that isn't too sweet. If you are interested in their bread loafs, they seem to sell out often so I was told that coming on Saturday morning is much better than Sunday.
Update: Come back another time, got an everything bread loaf and a cornbread cake, as good as I remembered.

This is my go-to breakfast place. Probably the best kept secret in Portland. Their seasonal specials are always delicious. My go-to's are the Little Beirut and the Grateful Wheel. Pastries are outstanding. The owners work directly with small local farms to bring in the freshest ingredients. Cute and homey digs. Friendly staff. Please only come here when I'm not...I don't want to wait in line behind you.

My partner and I had a super delightful breakfast here - highly recommend! The only difficulty is trying to pick out which delicious thing you want to try first. I recommend a sweet and a savory :) I also loved all of the fantastic creatures that inhabit the space.

Love this place, usually for the savory, for breakfast -- but this week I tried this “cobblestone cookie” and I sure hope they keep making them because right now I feel like this the best cookie I’ve ever had. Kind of weird but in a great way that haunted me from yesterday to tonight and I was so glad to find that there was still one left when I stopped by. Fennel and molasses, maybe?

Stellar oven fried eggs, hearty bread, friendly staff. The pastries are superb. The turmeric muffin, hand pies, and apricot-cardamom tarts w. buckwheat scone crust are among my favorites.

Beautiful space and mesmerizing wood fired oven! The rye was on point, full of flavor with the most satisfying crust. Friendly staff, delicious coffee and inspired toasts. A new favorite. Cannot wait to go back for a sweet and pizza.
