Pho Dalat Se

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant. I get dinner to go from Pho Dalat 2 about twice a week. Great food, and fast friendly service. I don't know how they do it. The menu is several pages long. Enough pages that I could not tell you how many pages without going back and counting them. My favorite is a small E9. Now you have to go there to find out what that is.

The food was great and the bowl of pho I got was enormous, but pieces of the booth I was sitting at were coming off and sticking to my pants. They also forgot to bring our drinks and I had to go find our server to do it. That wasn't a huge deal because we were there between the lunch and dinner rush and, having worked in a small restaurant with few employees myself, I know that they probably take gaps to eat and chill for a few because they won't be able to later. That said, fix up the booths a bit. It doesn't need to be fancy or anything because the food is fantastic. It would just be nice if pieces of the vinyl upholstery weren't all over my pants when I left.

My FAVORITE place to get Pho! I've tried several different places in the Portland/metro area and keep coming back to Pho Dalat! They're food is wonderful, consistent, inexpensive and the wait staff is very friendly. Don't be discouraged by the older decor, with the prices they charge, they can keep the funky style. They're great! Anytime I have friends or family in town, that's where I take them!

Believe me when I say that I was against Pho for a long time. I have high expectation standards when it comes to soups. But Pho Dalat did not disappoint. It really made me come around and give Pho another chance. My bf and I both got the C9 the round top and brisket. The broth was made with a light flavor that still had the richness of the beef broth with onion flavor. They really take simplicity to a new level. The herbs that came with it were very fresh. I could eat the bean sprouts even without the soup. Everything was warm and comforting. We also got the crispy chicken for an appetizer. They came out super hot and ready to eat with a nice sweet chili sauce. Not quite as good as how I make them at home but still really yummy. Bonus for how nice and golden brown they were. The location is really nice with plenty of parking too. The decor is average. More like a pho diner with tv screens around and a counter top for quick eats. The fortune cookies actually tasted really good with more insightful words too. Definitely hit the spot!

Authentic, rich, and delicious pho found here. I was feeling a little sick and wanted some soup to soothe me, and boy did I pick the right place. As soon as I sat down they gave me a big pot of hot jasmine tea to go with my meal. I don't know how many cups I drank - it was good. I got the chef special pho - large (whatever was at the top of the list). It had all the meats and came in a rich beefy broth with the perfect balance of that "five spice" flavor (star anise, ginger, chili or Sichuan pepper). This comes, as you may know, with a heap of fresh basil leaves, bean sprouts, and sliced Jalapeño. Of course there are sauces you can add like chili or sweet&savory hoisin, but this soup was so good by itself all I ended up adding was the basil (I don't like bean sprouts and didn't want the spicy peppers). I almost finished the bowl. And I was hungry! Maybe next time, I'll get the small (I think it's $7 for a small and $8-9 for a large, what a deal - easy on the wallet, flavorful, and filling!)

Always good food. You can't go wrong with any pho dish, unless u order tripe and don't like it. If it's your first time try the big bowl with all the kinds of meat ~ don't even try to finish it, u should take left overs. Minus 1☆ because the service wasn't very good a couple times I got there 30 min before they closed.
