Thai food is my absolute favorite food, and Mae Ploy is probably my favorite Thai restaurant in Portland. With how many Thai restaurants there are in the city, that’s really saying something.
This joint consistently serves up food that is fresh, clean, and tasty as all get out. If that weren’t enough, the service is unbelievably friendly, and the space is cozy. If you’re enjoying a walk down Alberta, it’s hard to do better for lunch than Mae Ploy.

Visiting for the first time and we were pleased to walk up to Mae Ploy. The Thai food was excellent! Pineapple fried rice was unique and delicipus, more than ample portion. We also enjoyed all the green plants. Service was excellent as well.

Very very tasty Thai food! Great service and a fantastic pineapple fried rice!! Will be back to try some other dishes.
My partner had the pad Thai with a side of peanut sauce, and as unorthodox as that is , it was delicious too!

Mai Ploy is a great, local, small business Thai food restaurant. We love this place, the flavors in the food are the best, love the pad Thai, all the curries, fried rice and Tom Yum soups. Fast and friendly service at a reasonable price. Bar for cocktails, Thai iced tea is the best. Parking is free on the street.

Sweet & spicy pad kee mow was delicious! Big serving and flavorful. Not too expensive. Gluten-free! I’m not mango curry expert but it was delicious & sweet.

The food was amazing & the service was so good. The woman at the front was so sweet. The prices weren't bad at all & the mango sticky rice was to die for! I highly recommend this restaurant! I will be returning soon!

Fresh and delicious food --plenty of options. Great atmosphere inside with lots of light, plants and sweet objects. The service is excellent and it feels like you're in a very kind family's home. Sometimes there's a kid doing his homework at a table, and I love that. It seems like it's never too busy when I go in, so I feel comfortable and glad to dine inside, especially as the weather gets colder. They also have nice tables outside for warmer days. Ordering take out is always quick!

This is a small place and we were the first ones there at 5p. Service was quick and the server was very friendly. The presentation of the food was very nice and it was very good. I had the lemongrass pad thai and there was enough for me to take half of it home. My friend had yellow curry and she really enjoyed it. I would definitely go back. This restaurant has high reviews. Oh they also have tables outside in the front but right the Portland weather is too cold for that.

I live an hour north, and you better believe every time I come to Portland I am stopping for some pad kee mow. I used to live on Alberta street and I had to put a limit on how often I was “allowed” to go in a month. Love this place! Always perfectly cooked and fresh! Customer service is always amazing!
