First time here...looking specifically for the cream cheese and the smoked salmon/lox spread. Alas, none for sale in the fridge. Assumed the chive cream cheese would be fine but decided to ask if there was salmon anyway. Lovely lady said she could mix one for me, no problem. Best response ever! Just had my toasted bagel and smoked salmon cream cheese spread and I'm happy as a clam (whatever that means)! Thank you! Best snack ever! Nice and relaxed space, with clearly, some perfect employees who care for their clients even when it might be a little extra effort to please them. Again, thank you!

First time visiting Spielman’s and I was very happy with our experience! The bacon/jam/arugula bagel was super yummy and I’ve been making my own version of it at home almost daily since we visited. Cute, cozy atmosphere. Reasonable prices. We aren’t in Portland often but will plan to visit again when we are!

This is hands down my favourite bagel in Portland, for me it has the perfect taste and density. Back in the day Spielmans Coffee would make a limited amount of bagels and if you were not an early bird, you were likely to miss out. Now it's officially Spielman Bagels and there are at least two locations that I'm aware of, on in SE and the other in NW so you can sleep in and still get your bagel on....how lucky is that?!

My east coast friends like to complain about the west coast bagels but this place I feel like stands out as solidly above average in the Portland bagel scene 😂 I have never been disappointed and Ive been here several times now. Great bagels, generous cream cheese. Nice cozy ambiance, lots of seating. And reasonable prices unless you start adding on a bunch of extras
