Classic American Chinese. Taking you back in time with their authentic atmosphere and amazing food. This place could easily pass as that classic Christmas story Chinese restaurants. Staff were friendly, and food came out fast.
I have driven by in the past and see the parking lot slammed. I think the Royal Panda has been her for over 30 years.
Anyway, good luck on the road, and I wish all my Google travelers a wonderful day.

Great food. Service was a tad slow, but only one person was on duty out front and there was a large party in the dining room, so that's to be expected. Building is older, but good atmosphere. Would certainly recommend coming here.

Slow service but amazing food!!!! Super clean restaurant!!!! I imagine this used to be a shilo hotel. I saw the sign for what it used to be.

Had the salt and pepper calamari, loved the flavor, but it was tough. I've eaten there numerous times before, food is great and so is the service. I'll go back again.

I have been looking at the reviews of Royal Panda and I was a liitle shocked that there are a lot of bad reviews. I understand people have different views. We have been eating at Royal Panda for over 20 years. We know the owners and they have been friendly and gracious for all those years. I'm surprised I have never given a review about their food.
We no longer live in the Portland area. We have not had any food from Panda since we left 6 years ago. I still have family in the area so we decided to take out. It's a little harder now with little grandkids to eat at their restaurant.
I love the Chicken and Broccoli. Thinly sliced white meat chicken with of course Broccoli. The white sauce that it comes with is just fantastic. Make the dish so flavorful. The white sticky rice ties the whole dish together.
My wife has Fried Bean Curd ( Tofu) with veggies. You can get it as spicy as you like. Another great dish even if it is vegetarian.
We also had Chicken with String Beans. The String Beans were a little too salty.
Hope to have more visits when we are back in town.

Their Boiled Dumplings in Chili Sauce is absolutely delish. Personally not a fan of their BBQ Pork - they put some kind of syrup or gravy on it which detracts from the pork.
We have only eaten in the bar and enjoy the laid back, neighborhood atmosphere. It is not a fancy place by any means but it is comfortable.

The spicy dumplings is legit the best thing here! The food is good in generL but I can't come here and not order them. Love the bar staff so much. The lady who works lunch older isn't nice at all and gives poor service. Trust me wait for the bar to open! The stars are for the bar and food only!
