-adding for 9/29/2019- I live in the 'hood now, so we visit Mags as much as we can. Great establishment - so warm, and steady. The wine selection is a lot of fun. Whether you're there for the $6 happy hour pours, or an $11 glass of Negramaro, the people and atmosphere will be dope. -original review below- My girlfriend lives near this wine bar, and I've enjoyed all our visits there. It's warm, and inviting, and unpretentious. The food is good, and the drink options are superb (be it the wine, or occasional beer). A knowledgeable and friendly staff brings it all together. Great little place, perfect to end the night here. Great food and beer list, nice selection of wine, the girl working (I believe the owner) is so nice, and helpful. Very fast and always making sure everything is ok and good, which I find hard to come by. Most servers are n their phone and forget you're there, but not here. Definitely a place to check out, to unwind or catch up with a friend.

Owner Anna has made a wonderful spot for wine, beer and some noshing. At under $10 her weekend tastings are a very good value and usually include a good selection of different priced wines. Her bottle selection is quite broad, useful, and reasonably priced. The place is comfortable to hang out with a nice mix of real wine lovers and neighborhood types. Unpretentious & friendly. Across Sandy Blvd from the Hollywood Theater, it's easy to find.
