42nd Ave Fish And Chip

I've not had this service and atmosphere since I was in the south, Tennessee. The catfish was hot and cook perfectly. Loved the oysters, greens, okra, halibut, even the French fries were cooked well. The Soda/Pop selection was fantastic!!! Shasta, Fresca, Crush, not just one kind but lots of varieties of each brand! Coke a Cola, including Vanilla, Pepsi too! That's not all the brands, there were so many I just don't remember them all! Great beer selection of everything you're looking for. Yes they had hot sauce, tartar and vinegar. Tv's at either end of the dinning room and blue tooth for just the right vibe! They have other meats and sides as well. The above is what we tried. I highly recommend you stop in check it out, you're going to want to make this your regular spot!

I had the catfish, cole slaw and okra and my wife had the cod, cole slaw and okra and it couldn't have been better. Fresh, hot and delicious and some Teddy P playin' in the background as we sat and enjoyed their food and atmosphere. Whenever we go back to Portland, we're going back to 42nd Ave Fish and Chips and I'm gonna give the greens and pintos a shot.

The first time I went, I got cod fish and chips. It was delicious because it's battered and fried in house. The second time I went I got ½ track ribs with cole slaw and hush puppies. The puppies were delicious, the ribs were smoked and served dry with a cup of home made sauce, and that sauce is GOOD.

This place is my new favorite place to eat! Everything was amazing. This is by far the best cod and catfish I have ever eaten. The cornbread was perfect (coarse meal and not too sweet). The okra was fresh and fried perfect. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was excellent! If this was closer to my house I would eat here every day! Thank you! I really want to try the dessert next time but I was too full!

This goes out to the gal who left a horribly mean & hater review: I find it really unfortunate that you feel the need to bring YOUR own personal hater-lies and degradation into a person's place of business. If you have a personal issue with one of the wonderful cashiers at this fabulous, family establishment, then do the world a favor and take it up on your own time. It's frankly sad to me when someone such as yourself feels the need to go after someone in such a malicious & cruel way - and to do it so publicly...and what that says about the type of person YOU are. I mean just look at YOUR profile picture dear! Who's the one doing lines in their car? 🤔Hmmm....? People in glass broken-down-looking cars really shouldn't throw stones.
