Cruiser's Drive-in

I can't believe I've lived in the Portland area this long and never noticed this place! We don't live in this neighborhood, but me and my son stopped by on a whim after an appointment, and we were not disappointed. I'm giving it five stars for what it is- a local, retro style burger joint that serves food a cut above what you'd get at your typical fast food chain. We took it to go because it was a long day, but really enjoyed the authentic retro diner atmosphere while we waited. There were a lot of great choices-I got a Chipotle crispy chicken sandwich, which I really liked and won't regret tomorrow(my guts can be sensitive, and they haven't complained!). My son got a guacamole burger, which he liked as well as the one at Mike's Drive In, which is good props. He really loved his blueberry cheesecake shake, and was excited that they offer to mix up to 3 flavors together! Tots were good, and they offer all kinds of upgrades on the sides, like cheesy fries, fried mushrooms, or jalapeño poppers! Really friendly, helpful staff. I hope this place stays around!

This place is chill af, the food is good, the staff can handle themselves, the inside is super cute. The people leaving bad reveiws don't seem to understand that they're in a diner. The food is cooked to be tasty and greasy not photo ready. The portion sizes are normal rather than XL like you'd get at fast food. Please deep fry things a little less tho. Like the mozzarella sticks and the mushrooms have been really overcooked recently.

I remember coming here as a kid and coming back years later feels good. I'm happy that the food hasn't changed since then, it's still the really good food i remember. They have a family deal where you get 4 hamburgers, 4 fries, and 4 drinks for $25 and i say it's a good deal. (Cheese does make it go up to like $30 which is kinda stupid but ya).

I hadn't been to Cruiser's Drive-In for many, many years. I was just never in the area when it was meal time. I did have the memories of when I did go there years ago, the food was always great. Today I was working in the area and stopped in for lunch. The restaurant was spotless. I was greeted kindly by Hayden who was working the counter. He is a very friendly young man. My meal was cooked to order and only took a few minutes. I had a bacon cheeseburger with regular fries and a soda. In addition I had a blackberry milkshake. The food was absolutely amazingly great. The milkshake was perfect. The burger, fries, and soda were on special for only $7.50 The burger had that old fashioned taste from back in the day. This is and has been a family owned establishment for many years. Please dine local and support this family business. Going there was the best part of my day. I will definitely return without delay next time.

Totally a good place!! The food is on point and pricing is fair. You don’t have to sweat these guys are here to help. They enjoy their job and are good at it. They want to help and the food is pretty decent. I was $.20 cents short and they didn’t ask me to break another bill. AWESOME establishment. Also the specials are great. There’s plenty of seating and a great place to go grab a burger or even just a float. Thanks guys for the great service. 3 👍🏽’s outta 3 👍🏽’s for the awesome service and great food.

I really enjoy ordering dinner here, they have a great menu of burgers, sandwiches, shakes, etc. I highly recommend the macaroni and cheese bites, the only thing better than mac and cheese is breaded and fried mac and cheese. They also have so many delicious shake flavors, I took a picture of their options.
