Neat Whiskey Bar

Neat is really Neat. It is a small cozy location with a great whisky selection. Unlike most places their pours are a hefty 2oz at very reasonable prices. I had the Weller 12, Rock Hills, and Hibiki 17. Don't miss out on their brisket. It was delicious and a nice complement to their drinks. The owner was very proud of this dish and it doesn't disappoint.

We biked in on a warm afternoon and it was really pleasant inside. The bartender made us delicious old fashioneds (we had one regular and one with Mezcal, super smokey and really good!) and also ordered the samosas. He told us they get them from Salem every week, and cook them in the bar. From the outside, we weren't enticed to go in, but once in, we really liked it. I hope it gets busier because we want it to be around!

I am a fan of a good whiskey, I am an even bigger fan of being served cocktails by a knowledgeable bartender. Neat takes it to a whole new level. They have a ladder that rolls from one end of the bar to the other. The staff are experts in all things whiskey, bourbon, scotch etc. Their food is pretty darn great as well.
