Java Hound Coffee Bar

My husband and I were traveling from California and had the best coffee here and we were also able to add CBD to our drinks which was awesome. They even had the best dog treats that I was able to buy for my dog Quinn. We’ll definitely be coming back to this place whenever we visit Portland again. Thank you

The people are really sweet, and they give your dog a nutritious puppuccino (goat's milk and treats). UPDATE: they have a new barista and MUCH better coffee! :) But I hate to have to say that the quality of the coffee is really, really bad. I usually just get a black coffee, and almost every time (3x?) , it's a problem of the coffee being way too weak--it literally tastes like how my grandma made it. It's so bad that, despite enjoying the environment here, I haul it up a block or two to Barista because for the same amount of money you get a drink that you can enjoy.

Randomly popped into the pet shop to peruse and on the way out decided to try an iced “Painted Hills” - their Rose Hazelnut Cardamom latte, with coconut milk. It was DELICIOUS! I absolutely loved the real rose petals on top, and the fact that they had vegan treats. On my fave list of coffee bars to go back to.. it’s a bonus that it’s right in the pet store!

OMG, this place is awesome. It's great for dogs and people too. I even think people go in there just to get their dog fix. I was there this morning and there were a couple of ladies just adoring and petting all the dogs that came through. Not to mention the staff is really friendly. They have cappaucino for humans and puppicino for the dogs (goat milk & kibbles.) free with purchase! I recommend you buy a bag of treats at the back of the store there is a company who will donate an entire bag to a shelter for every bag you purchase. <3 They have great novelty items like dog beer and cake mix. Plus, they have cheap rolls of doggie bags for $1.25. Plus dog foods, supplements, clothes omg I could go on. Best dog store I've seen. But beware your pup is going to graze the bulk section! Thats okay he's going to need something to do while you sit and drink your latte or chai or matcha latte or whatever you order. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Good selection, sweet friendly service, good selection of alternative milks, +delicious CBD non-psychoactive additive to my handmade local honey lavender latte. Plus I got to donate a couple of gifts to some local shelter kitties, through their pick up at Christmas tree. Glad they're here glad they have treats for people and furs together.
