What a fantastic Slabtown neighborhood coffe shop! It has quite a personality that comes down to the personable staff and smooth, rich, and consistent coffee. I’ve come here mostly to grab a cup on my way to grocery shopping, but occasionally come to sit and read. It can get full quickly, I’d recommend coming before 9AM if you want to sit down. It is still so well worth grabbing a cup to go. The staff make this place, they remember everyone’s order and exactly who ordered them to the point that they deliver the coffee to you no matter how busy it gets. The coffee here gives me the boost and serotonin I need every morning. The pastries are standard, nothing too notable but I have yet to try them all.

Sterling has been my go to coffee shop and coffee roaster for almost 8 years. Always exceptional coffee with super friendly and helpful staff. This for me is the best coffee shop in the Portland area and a must go if you are looking for consistently great coffee. I also recommend the coffee beans for home brewing first because they have a great flavor, ans second a really helpful thing Sterling does is have recommendations online to see brewing and weight for espresso pulling at home and for other brewing methods listed when you click on the coffee type and scroll down. Again, this place is a must go and my absolute favorite.

Sterling Coffee is a beautiful cafe on 21st that offers some great seating, kind staff, and wonderful drinks. I tried their maple cider which they just released yesterday! It’s amazing and I would recommend it to any fellow cider lovers. We didn’t have any food so I can’t speak to that. But they do have some great merch available to the side of the order line. As for ambiance you can see in the pictures that they have created an inviting and fun space to grab I stopped by for my 24th birthday and had a wonderful time. It was well worth a birthday stop and would be a great spot for any day. Make sure to get here before the maple cider goes away because you won’t want to miss it!

Okay so you don’t need to order “the flight” to get an espresso, w small cup of drip, and small cup of sparkling water. Their espressos come w the entire board ! Pretty legit. Very fun treat. I live far out SE but will be biking here more often just to buy the this :) they stay busy FYI! Service was awesome.

Sterling Coffee Roasters has become my new favorite coffee shop in Portland. I was just buying beans from their website and having them shipped but after my first visit I keep coming back to the store. The staff is so extremely nice. It is obvious they are happy and excited about coffee and they want you to be happy and excited too. Multiple staff members have helped me pick out beans specific to my taste and always offer details about the farm and the bean processing. If you're a coffee nerd like me then you'll love being around other coffee enthusiasts! And if you're not you'll still love being here in the calming atmosphere with great drinks and non-pretentious vibes. All the drinks I've ordered have been delicious - chai latte, mocha, drip coffee. Come here! Just do it, you won't be disappointed.

The coffee here was so dang good. They had a special drink called.the Chagra Latte, there is no sugar in it but nothing artificial either, and yet it was like a Delicious cinnamon mocha. It was soooo fabulous, I want one every day! It's so hard for me to find holistic quality food/drink that does not have sugar and still tastes yummy. I also loved the whole ambiance and vibe of the Cafe, it was a very pleasant place to relax and enjoy. The staff were also a joy. Next time I get that drink, I will update with the name.
