Meat & Potatoes

I wish I could rate 3.5 stars - I decided to try FOMO since my first choice in the little cart area was temp closed. I liked that this little food cart alcove has quite a bit of cover from rain - as the day I visited it was raining quite heavily. The beer bus also seems to manage the fire pit which was a lovely charm - thank you beer bus worker for maintaining the fire pit! Anywho, FOMO's food was just meh for me. I felt like I didn't get a lot of chicken for $15 & got substantially more just plain ol' white rice. It normally comes with mayo-based cole slaw but they were willing to substitute for me, which was nice of them, so I tried the corn. They also had, in my opinion, almost too sweet tasting pickled radish as a side as well. The glaze - Sweet Garlic was very unimpressive. I tasted just like a sweet soy garlic & there wasn't much of it applied to the chicken/surrounding rice. I think what would've helped is to ask customers/offer them the option of more sauce on the side. I didn't feel like I got much value out of my meal & they're trying to offer more sustainable to-go utensils n' such, but the box (as far as I know) isn't recyclable & I'm not sure if the plastic that the radish side comes in can be recycled or not either. The food cart area does contain porta-potties with a little hand washing station, so I think that the cart area is worth visiting, but if there's other options open, I'll try another cart before going to FOMO again.

during a quick visit to portland this was definitely the highlight of the food we got! it's located in a lovely area with enough room to sit down for a while and is surrounded by other food trucks! I absolutely loved the food and the service here, the staff were all super friendly! I got a spicy korean chicken box, and a sweet garlic chicken sandwich and both were amazing!

If you're looking for the best chicken you'll ever have in your life, go to FOMO Chicken. I recommend the sweet soy garlic chicken and the gluten free southern fried chicken is excellent too (hopefully they'll have gluten free soy garlic chicken in the future!). The location is a cozy outdoor space with plenty of lighting with a fire pit for when it gets dark. I'm already looking forward to the next time I visit!

So fun to have a gluten free option for fried chicken and fried pickles! I don't remember the last time I had fried chicken. Prices were reasonable, food was amazing, and the location is seriously adorable. We came and ate in the rain, there is a cover over some of the picnic tables. Great spot if you have a family or group and people can't decide on eating at the same restaurant :)

FOMO Chicken is realllllly really good. I got the Sweet Garlic Boneless Box and enjoyed all of the components. The sweet garlic sauce made the rice taste amazing, and the coleslaw was a great complement as well. I was also impressed by the quick service- it only took 10 minutes to get my order on a busy Saturday evening.
