Union Restaurant

Very clean and chic restaurant attached to a hotel but not readily noticeable. Food was good but needed lots of salt. ?Corn beef plate was super bland, boring and tasteless. Service was nice but few orders were missed and had to ask to have them delivered. The greens smoothie was very good but a bit sweeter than I personally prefer. Overall not a bad experience but the food didn't have a wow factor like I had hoped.

I visited UNION 3 times in one week. Why? Because above everything else the food is amazing, unique and high quality. Every dish surprised me... in a good way. The service is on par with what you would expect at this price point and the interior design complimented the ambiance of the hotel very well. Definitely set the bar high for my Portland culinary experiences.

The staff are very friendly. We ended up waiting a little while for our drinks and our table was not ready at the time of our reservation but the staff made us comfortable and made sure our food was out quickly. The food itself was good, nothing spectacular but a tasty brunch nonetheless. The pork belly was more fatty than meaty, which wasn't great to get a big bite of fat in the morning. The benedict was cooked perfectly and the lobster eggs benedict was very good! The politeness of the staff certainly brings the star count up a bit.

Atmosphere was very chic. I love anywhere that’s got plants all over. Service was rather slow.. we waited 45 minutes for our food, but the wait was worth it! Aside from the very eye catching presentation, the food was delicious! The mushroom toast was incredible and was my favorite. Will have to come back and try their dinner menu.
