Saeng Thai House

This was my first experience having Thai cuisine. I wouldn't have wished anything better for my first experience. I ordered a special pad Thai basil with tofu. The quantity and quality were both good. They have a spice levels from 1 to 5. This place cannot serve more than 5-6 ppl in dine in. Please be careful, foods served are hot.

My best friend & I came from Augusta to Portland to handle some business. We picked this place to eat and it was THE BEST choice. The food was delicious, the staff was so friendly and kind and the price was really really good. The atmosphere was intimate and cozy. I will be coming back any time I go to Portland.

This little place right next to the hospital and convenient to all the ancillary services should be on your list - health care traveler or otherwise. We live in rural Maine and need to come to the big city for health care. I’m a huge Thai fan. This was a family run restaurant in the best way. The matriarch was cooking our food when I arrived. This is not dine in, but there is a bar for 4 where you can quickly slurp your food if you need to. There’s a parking spot outside with “3 minute parking” for your quick pick up needs. I took food back to 5 people in bethel who were all delighted! Amazing spring rolls!!! This is how I judge Thai - spring rolls. You can get them with ground chicken or shrimp - YES!

I've loved Saeng Thai for decades, literally. I've tried almost all their food and it's fantastic. I even went to a Cambodian wedding they catered a couple years ago and got to sample some of the stuff I'd never had before. Love it all. But their Pad Thai is the best in a hundred miles radius so I usually end up eating that. 😆
