Portland House Of Pizza

I got a mushroom/garlic pizza, and the ordering was very easy to do. The staff seemed friendly and the food looked very good. However, there was a hair baked into my pizza [pictures attached]. It poked out from under the cheese and definitely killed my appetite. I don't think I'll be coming back here. Edit: The owner called me & apologized for the situation, as well as refunded me the money for my order. Much respect for that level of responsibility and customer service.

Favorite lunch delivery. However, just ordered buffalo chicken tenders expecting what I have gotten for the past 5 years and the new chicken tenders are not good. The calzone was perfect though as usual. Please get the old chicken tenders back. Update: Back to 5 stars. Owner called to let me know the regular tenders are back! Great customer service!!

I have ordered from them many times. This time the tuna sub was inedible, the color was off and it did not taste like tuna. Funny after taste. I called and all I got was “sorry…but we haven’t made changes to our tuna.” Well—let’s see if food poisoning sets in with my one bite. Ended up ordering from amato’s. They lost our business I just got a call about how I was handled. He was very concerned and explained that the tuna had been changed and apologized. I am very happy with his response and hope they go back to the original which was by far the best tuna anywhere! They made it right.

I called to order myself a pizza (a rarity for me) after a long work day. I live off Brighton Ave, Westbrook end but in Portland. The website specifically says Brighton Ave. Also tells you to ask for manager if you think you’re outside of their delivery range and they would do whatever they could to try to accommodate. She started to get my order, then said “oh sorry, you’re .03 miles outside our area. I mentioned how the website tells you to ask for manager. She told me sorry, not on busy nights. It was a Friday, but at 4:15pm. Website is a little deceptive, considering they really speak about the large delivery area, EVEN FALMOUTH. Perhaps catering to a more affluent community. Was looking forward to trying, but not so much now.

The salad was ok but I we also bought two burgers that looked like they were quite literally thrown together. Also a couple of HUGE chucks of un-chopped lettuce in the salads. Very disappointed because I used to like this spot but the last few times I’ve been to this place they have really let me down.

Staff was efficient and friendly. Place was clean and easy to navigate. No weird parking spaces. Walk in, pay, walk out with food. Exactly how it should be. I got a calzone with pepperoni and jalapenos and feta, it was amazing. I'll order that again from here. They did an amazing job. Cooked to absolute perfection. Chicken tenders were good. Fries were also really good. Wife got a Grinder, and it was so good she finished before I'd finished my calzone. That's saying something since I usually inhale my foodstuffs. 10 out of 10, will definitely visit here again.
