The Terrace Bistro Bar

While the menu promises good American fare, I've learned that very few places can replicate American fare like the Americans. There may be burgers and shakes etc on the menu here, but it doesn't come close to the tastes in the US. I'd wanted to come here for a long time and was excited about my visit, but left quite disappointed. From the minute you walk in, there's no "direction" to your table. We had a booking, but we could pick anywhere to sit and it wasn't so obvious if it was better to sit inside, or in the inside/outside section. We ordered starters and mains. Yet for some reason I'm still trying to fathom, the entrees were put down in front of us, and then she turned around to put the main meals down too. I mean, what kind of "good" restaurant does that?? The starters weren't sides ... Anyways, the mac 'n cheese balls weren't nice to me. They had a bit of a kick to them, which was clear on the menu, but still a bit too much kick to enjoy the flavour of the cheese. The burger was ok; just your regular no frills cheeseburger. But the fries were too salty and not overly hot. The potato salad was ok, but just couldn't eat it all because it was all laid out on the table together and therefore too crowded to enjoy one thing at a time. You're trying to get to everything before the rest gets cold. There were onion rings that were overcooked, but had some flavour at least. In all fairness, when the guy who took our order cleared the table, he did try and apologise for the mix up, but considering we'd had unfinished food sitting in front of us for 15-20 minutes because no one came to clear away sooner, we just asked for the bill and got out of there. Plus sides; clean, modern and roomy restaurant. Food came out in timely order. Would have loved to have tried dessert, but wasn't sure it would be the redeeming feature I was hoping for. Overall, glad I tried Gramercy Social, but I have honestly had better meals/burgers in other restaurants.

This cafe is central to the busssle of Prahran, very close to the market. On a cold winter's morning the cafe was warm with its welcome and ambience. The coffee was good but the porridge was even better. The indoor/outdoor area was inviting and an oasis of green in the urban landscape. We'd go out of our way to have breakfast here again.

Perfect place to go if you’re in Prahran and don’t want to be on Chapel. Attached to artsy hotel so the decor is very unique and funky. Awesome happy hour with vast selection of local beers on tap. Friendly staff. Food happy hour is also spectacular. Definitely recommend the large chicken burger. Very nice outdoor patio. 10/10 will be returning.

We haven't been here in ages so popped in today for a quick brunch. The courtyard is heated so a great spot for a cold morning. The service was quick and friendly and the coffee is good. We're had the bircher with coconut milk and the avo smash. Both dishes were well presented and tasted nice, plus they didn't take too long to come out of the kitchen. They offered us second round coffees/ drinks without us having to prompt. They have a great range of alcoholic drinks here too
