Very good, however my brother got a shock as he could not use the vouchers he had, as they were for midweek use only.

We have just hosted our sons fourth birthday - Pizza party - at Pig & Whistle; cannot fault it. The concept is brilliant for kids, original and so much fun. They allowed me to come in ahead of time to set up and decorate. Staff were very helpful. Party packs were crammed with fun bits and pieces and they allowed me to add to them. Everyone had a great time. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the meal. 3 carvery’s they all loved the meal and one vegetarian pizza. I would like to add extra chillies to the pizza. I lost my sense of taste and smell through covid so enjoy food by texture but I can taste chillies. The vegetarian pizzas are far better than the Italian orchard , which is a Preston restaurant.

Had a great all you can eat hot breakfast for only £6. The staff were very nice and welcoming. Easy access for the wheelchair and a clean and large disabled toilet. Plenty of parking. I will go again

Decided to show a Londoner what real food is. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Gemma who guided us through the menu and she was so friendly and funny! We ordered some cocktails and they were perfect. Thanks Gemma. Danny was also really helpful. A wonderful night.

Nice food. Service was good and we come quite often. I recommend the pizzas and carvery. I also like the unlimited refillible ice cream machine.

I've been coming to the Pig and Whistle for 55 years. I've been coming with my new partner for 25 years. Always reliably tasty, good price, and excellent staff who go the extra mile. Maybe due for a deep clean?
No caramel apple Betty with bottomless custard - used to love that!
Maybe a family area? To give the people a break who've left the kids at home?

Food was good however when ordering via mobile I'm expected to just go and get the carvery and the rest comes to me (this was confirmed by a staff) yet we waited a little over an hour after eating and still no desert, we had to get up and ask for it to then be told why didn't we ask earlier - if I wanted to get up and ask I would not have ordered via mobile! - 5 stars still given however as the manager corrected with a good will gesture of drinks

Food was good and the carvery had lots of variety and decent options. The problem was when two members of our party ordered from the main menu and their meals were delivered after the rest of us had been up and collected and finished our meals this meaning the family meal we planned to haven’t didn’t actually go to plan as they sat there hungry whilst we were eating. For the busyness of the restaurant on the day we went we waited a long time for our food.

We booked a pizza party and it was great for the kids. Group of 10 was just right and children age 5+ really enjoyed it. Strengths- quick service, good cost and friendly team. Weaknesses- no aprons or chef hats for the children and just felt a little rushed to hurry up the party, even though the children were still eating. Overall really good and will defo do it again. Thanks guys
