Origin Bakehouse

My girlfriend and I come here quite a bit and I’ve never had anything bad to say about it. the vegan options are amazing (i’m vegan, girlfriend is not) but they also have a lot of great non-vegan options. the bakes change every day but the same ones appear on a rotation - my favourite is the leek, potato and caramelised onion pastry (pictured) - and they’re always spot on in every respect. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is so calming and cosy with great music and lots of natural light. Origin has become a special little place for us to spend some quality time together on the weekends and it’s definitely a local business that deserves all the support it gets and more. I honestly think that anyone who goes here will just want to keep coming back as often as they can, and that’s certainly the case for me!

Hired Origin to make our wedding cake, and cupcakes for the guests. Great communication, delivered the cakes to the venue, and arranged them for us. Cakes looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Really accommodating with dietary requirements, and also helped with some last minute extra pastries. Can't recommend them enough.

I've been going to this cafe regularly for a couple of years now. Really delicious bakery (all vegan) and toasted sandwich options (meat and vegan) that change daily. The bread is honestly incredible. Coffee is also very good (recently gone up in price by 50p but still reasonable!). And alternative milks don't cost extra which is always nice. Not the cheapest place but worth it. Service can be quite slow but it's only a small place so that's to be expected. Most of the staff are really friendly but the only negative is that sometimes they will just ignore you until they're ready - it would be nice if they even just acknowledged that you're waiting! Overall, proof of how good this cafe is is demonstrated in the fact I go back every week! Please keep doing amazing food, thanks 🤩

Went in for first time today (11th) having noticed it a few times passing previously. The Instagram page has some really nice looking bakery treats so went in to try. Had a vegetarian bean panini which was pretty good, and chocolate orange frangipane was ok. The cappuccino and latte were disappointing, beans ground to order, but the steamed milk wasn't textured at all But nice quiet independent cafe worth a try. Will definitely visit again at some point

What a place. Food, drinks and service fantastic. Quality of the homemade produce is superb. An abundance of tasty plant based options. The hampers produced are a great gift/treat and her sourdought focaccia sandwiches at £3 are worth every penny. Owned by a young female entrepreneur who should be very proud of what she's created.
