Lunch 12.30noon to 3.00pm
Dinner 7.00pm to 11pm
The thali has three menus distributed over 9days
Our thali comprised of
Dahi bhalla: This was fried lentil dumplings, topped with curd, variety of chutney and spices. It’s a famous Indian Chaat.
These are soft as cloud Dahi Vada's and that chilled creamy curd on top, tangy & sweet.Yummilicous!
Nadir ki chaat: This lotus flower which is found under water. It is usually crunchy and is fairly sweet and has a flavor like water chestnut. It has a delicate flavor.Sweet & Crispy!
Stuff dal baati: Baatis are baked dough dumplings of wheat.Fresh baatis topped in clarified butter then dipped in piping hot dal is a perfect accompaniment.Comfort food!
Dal: A spicy mix of lentils. It’s topped with lots of ghee which makes it extremely flavorful.Totally Comfort!
Churma: It is coarsely ground wheat crushed and cooked with ghee clarified butter and sugar. Here it was made by mashing up wheat flour baatis
Baigan bhaja: Baingan Bhaja were shallow fried marinated slices of Aubergines. The flesh becomes tender with a slight sweet tinge to it. Rice flour gives a nice crispiness to the fries.
Bharwan paneertikka: A popular Indian vegetarian dish.Paneer marinated with yoghurt, turmeric, ginger & spices with a mint chutney filling offers a simple but taste-pataka feel.
Mushroom65: Crispy and tasty mushroom. These button mushrooms are coated in a spiced curd batter and then deep fried.Medium-spicy!
Gojihakk:Haak leaves look quiet a lot like spinach. Kashmiri dish cooked with mustard oil and spices. With cubes of turnip bobbing in & out.Soft & tender.Mildly Spiced!
Shangar Paneer ke kofte:Made with a combination of sangri and minced paneer dunked in a onion-tomato based gravy. The over-tones of saangri dissapear with the magic of flavours along with mild spices then they are deep fried. These Kofta balls have a crispy outer layer and are soft from the inside.
Aloo poshto: Bong dish of potatoes in a lightly spiced poppy seeds paste.Flavourful!
guttyvankyakura: I have not tasted gutti vankaya kura before. Andhra style gravy uses tamarind as base and the spice powder has peanuts for flavour. The brinjal is soft and delicate and has absorbed the spices beautifully within.Damn Good!
punjabikadipakora: The sour curd prepared with besan.Feather-lite jewels of tempting goodness.Butter-soft(pakora).This has simply irresistible texture that lives up.
steamedrice
basantipulao: Made using turmeric and saffron.Light & Flavorful!
bhajamoongdal: Lentil Soup prepared no Onion and no Garlic. Bhaja refers to “Fried” however this Daal is prepared with dry roasted Moong Daal, in fact, the special aroma of dry roasted Daal is the significant characteristic of this Daal.
The accompaniments were endless amounts of luchi and surplus missiroti with the thali.
Not to miss the desserts
Gajar halwa: It is a popular sweet made in India during winters. Had full-fat milk, ghee and sugar, khoya & drufruits. Not overtly sweet not less sweet either.Bang-on!
Badam bhog:Sorry u just get up and come here, not describing it at all.Promise u after this u will crave further more
Please wear loose clothes
Happy Eating!

Looking at the thali pic literally waters my mouth as the soul satisfying taste still lingers :-)
One of the most delicious curries I have ever tried...Paneer from kadai paneer just melted in my mouth and the Saag Mangolia(green curry in thali) felt sooo subtle as if it had more soul than physical! Veg pulao is something that deserves special mention...every grain of cooked rice was flavoured with utmost attention and detail! I can go on for almost every item in the thali :-)
Three course meal served in the format of Thali - ALL UNLIMITED so you can choose where you want to indulge more. Thali combines the flavours from different states of India - Maharashtra (masala matki, Shrikhand etc.), Rajasthani (Dal bati churama, kadi), Gujarati (dhokala etc.), Punjabi (Kadai paneer, saag etc.) There is a separate dessert room but I had no room left in my tummy by that time...though couldn’t resist my favourite Shrikhand which tasted like home made!
About the service - I felt the service was bit slow noting that staff would generally wait after serving starters as it’s a 3 course meal. I had to ask them to serve all 3 courses together however still felt service was slow as some of the guests had to wait. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. Having said that, staff is very friendly and the head chef Mr. Buralal made sure to give us a visit and was happy to pose for some pictures with the Family. Also gave me some tips on how to make yummy Shrikhand :-)
We were celebrating my Sons 6th bday and overall it was a great experience! Definitely worth the price!
If you live to eat and are vegetarian then you must visit this place at least once!
