Picantos Mexican Grill

Picantos has been my favourite Mexican food joint but was kinda bored with the same menu. It was a pleasant surprise when we were invited for food tasting of the new menu. Appetisers did not appeal me much (Dragonfly , Tamarindo and Horchata), all need some dash of flavour. However, taste buds accelerated from the time appetisers were on the table. Peri Peri Potato Soft Shell tacos , Suff Veg Empandas, Cheesy Wedges , but the winner was Pulled pork soft shell tacos. This was one of the best pork dishes I had in recent times. Soup served was fresh veggie and white bean which was ok can be improved a lot. When it comes to Salad and that too you hear a name of Beetroot most of us are at backfoot. But Beetroot and feta salad will make you believe that beetroot can be one of the best salad :). Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad did not disappoint too. Another perfect salad it was. Then we entered into the world of Panini's ( Chicken Barbeque, Pulled pork Cubano, tomato mozzarella ) all were rocking and perfect. Plated meal of Chicken Roulade with mole was the next, some gravy /sauce would help to enhance the taste. To end on a sweet note we had Churros and Chocolate Pannacotta which were perfect. Overall experience was good , the new menu is definitely appealing . Will wait for few more interesting additions
