This place is right on the main road and easily visible. Recently they renewated the place and it is better than earlier. Now they have 7-8 tables. Coming to the food the shawarma they serve is too good, mouth watering I'll say. It is even slightly better than Marrakesh. One of the best shawarma in pune. I ordered chicken shawarma plate which was good and spicy chicken shawarma roll which was best shawarma roll I've had till date. Restaurant is reasonable as per quantity and quality . We had chicken do pyaja in main course and to accompany this we ordered tandoori naan . Chicken was tender and it was sufficient for two people . The gravy was good and was quiet thick . So overall my experience was good . And the shawarma is a must try.

A recent craving for some middle eastern delicacies , we landed at Zanbaq. Having tried the others Marrakesh, Zouq etc, we had to try Zanbaq this time. This place has always been home to some lip smacking chicken preparations. Previously, Hot sip cafe was a favorite here which later got replaced by Zanbaq. Though they have a newly opened branch at Nibm which is nearer to my home, we went all the way to Kothrud; to taste the originality. The first impression of the place, much much better interior than you would expect at other roadside eateries in this area. The place has ample seating, with fill view of the Tandoor kitchen from the front. As soon as you arrive here to park our vehice the aroma from the grill makes your mouth water. The menu came in a wooden box. Most of it is about Middle eastern/lebanese and North Indian food, with a few sections of thai and chinese dishes. It was a surprise to see Baba Ganoush on the menu, which till today I had just saw on TV. With many other rare Lebanese delicacies on the menu , we still stuck to the basics. We ordered a Chicken Shawarma plate, Zanbaq chicken and Zatar Naan. The shawarma plate was a mouth watering wonder. The plating and seasoning made it more impressive. It had around 8 pieces of soft pita, ample chicken, tahini and beetroot bits. The decision to opt for a plate over roll turned out to be right. The Chicken Zanbaq, a starter, again was a star. Take Tandoori Chicken, remove the red spices and color , add cream, and you get grilled chicken with almpst similar taste. This starter comes with a roti and sauce. The Zatar Naan was a little off the mark, with very less zatar factor on it. Though, this miss was well balanced by the other extraordinary starters. The quantity of both the dishes was good enough to satisfy our palates and stomach. The sevice was very good. The staff was very good in suggestions and quick with the orders. I would definitely go again for try out the other specialities.

Mann.. Please have a chicken tanoori here. They keep the tenderness of the chicken. All the flavours melt down in your mouth giving a heavenly experience. 7UP or sprite along with tanoori confirms your ticket to a heavenly eating experience 😍 I used to travel 35Kms all the way from Talwade IT park to go here. Just for chicken tandoori. Remember, I could not guaranty about any other dish here. Happy Eating.
