Konkan Express is a seafood restaurant in Karve Road that serves Indian and seafood cuisine. The food was awesome and there were good vegetarian and non vegetarian (apart from seafood) options as well. The Surmai Thali was truly delicious and flavourful, the portions were adequate however they can include sukat in the thali for price they charge.(Surmai ₹405) The restaurant had a good variety of Konkani dishes from vegetarian to chicken to fish. There is limited seating available and indoor seating is limited to 20-24 people and around equal outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is less preferred due to the busy adjacent karve road.

The food is really good. A bit on the expensive end but totally worth it for once in a while dining. I had Surmai fish fry and Sukha Mutton with chapati and jowar bhakri. All the items were delicious. They served normal water in a jug upon request which was nice. The service could be a little better, as I found the waiter serving us unaware of details of the menu items. Overall I recommend this to someone visiting Pune for the first time and wanting to have good seafood and non-vegetarian.

Old is gold!!!! One of the oldest restaurant in Kothrud area serving sea food. I visited this after a decade and found food here is top notch. I ordered surmai thali. It contains surmai fry, surmai piece in masala and plain curry, papad and solkadi and rice.they give option of chapati bhakari wade or amboli. I opted amboli which went very well with surmai masala.solkadi was very good. All this goodness in 400 rs . Isn't it steal deal ?

One of authentic Kokani non-veg restaurant in Pune. Surmai thali and Prawns thali are must try dishes here, chapati goes as best combination with any thalis, chapati tastes like homemade. The cost is little bit higher as compared to other restaurants but it's worth the quality and taste. Good to have seat booked in advance as this place has limited number of seats and those are occupied most of the times. Location of restaurant is within Kothrud city so easily accessible. Advised to take cab as this restaurant is not having its own parking space, we need to find our own street parking.

Amazing food.I was here by 7:30 pm. Few young customers were already there. The most important thing to mention is I saw some families reaching here for dinner.The key part was some old ladies were also enjoying the food. That I think was the biggest compliment for the quality of the food and service. No need to mention that the Surmai thali was a great treat.. Loved this place.
