Deary Brothers Mike's Stand

We always love coming to Mike's stand for ice cream. And food. Burgers are always delicious. Ice cream is great. Line can be a little long but it moves pretty quick and is worth waiting. The picnic tables fill up quick. It's always busy. Reasonable prices. My whole family enjoys going here. We come a couple times a month. Sad that it will be closing on September 17th.

Great seafood, fries, and the coleslaw is the best I've had bar none. They have light, crispy, batter which makes their fish, scallops, and clams fantastic. Ice cream is good as well. Being a stand it is outdoor dining only, picnic tables. Not much to see as it's in the middle of a neighborhood but they've done a nice job of maintaining their shade trees so it's a pleasant outdoor, self serve, dining experience. Not kidding about the coleslaw; I swing by and just by coleslaw on a regular basis.

So happy I found this place started my training over at the UNION Academy asked some locals for good finger Food & was pointed in the right direction. atmosphere was great. I love it’s history coming from the city 🏙️ always around loud noises cars people only seeing buildings it was so relaxing to enjoy my meal outside Birds chirping, friendly neighbors again great food bottomline they’ll be seeing a lot more of me the month that I’m here

The restaurant offers delicious food and is definitely family-friendly. Nonetheless, during my visit on Tuesday 8/1 at 5 pm with my 2-year-old, we encountered an unsettling welcome. A staff member turned on his motorcycle, sat on it for a few minutes, then left it unattended and running for a while, causing disruption and frightening my daughter due to the loud noise. Hopefully, such incidents can be avoided in the future to ensure a more enjoyable dining experience for families with young children.

Lived in Putnam for 3 years, didn't know this place existed till now. Menu has a lot of options. I had an Oreo/Coffee ice cream. Ice cream was perfect. Not freezer burnt , good texture, just the right amount of ingredients. Vibe is really good, liked the outside picnic tables. Unfortunately no umbrellas on the tables but there's plenty of trees for shade. Service was excellent, server took time to explain options,very knowledgeable of menu. Parking is tight but very manageable. I would highly recommend trying Deary Brothers ! I will be coming back !
