Pros: * Free guided tour of the inside which is very informative. (Takes almost 1 hour) * Very friendly staff. * Neat. * Restaurant inside. Cons: If you are going there in winter then you will miss the whole exterior beauty of the building because, most of the statues, fountains and even the garden will be covered in snow.

Incredible building and property. There were guided tours available when we were there in both official languages. Guide / staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The history is amazing as are the grounds, architecture, monuments and displays. Well worth taking some time to explore versus walking past.

Recommend the tour if you want access to more rooms. You can book tickets online for free or get them in person, hoping your preferred timeslot isn't full. We had a really difficult time finding the entrance. Recommend typing in Tourny Fountain and/or Parliament gardens to find the entrance. We walked around the building until we learned the entrance was below the building next to another fountain and statue (pictured below). There you pass security and afterwards can obtain free tickets to a guided tour in French or English (and apparently Spanish in the summer). Tour is about an hour. Can take the elevator between floors or the stairs. We parked in the garage because of the summer festival but there is paid street parking nearby.

Very strict security check to get in. The building is modern style inside. Not much you can see so you might not want to spend time here if you were in a hurry. The people there were very friendly and answered all questions we asked. There’s a small theater to play a short movie about the building. It is limited to 8 people during current pandemic time.

I took advantage of the free guided tour, which you can easily pre-book online. You can specify your language preference for the tour when you book online. I went on March 28, 2022 and was the only one in the tour. My bi-lingual guide was so pleasant and informative. The tour took just under an hour. You are allowed to take photos inside. It’s a beautiful building. They have a free coat check. Washrooms are extremely clean. I like how their security check at the entrance is just like at the airport. I highly recommend the tour.

Only got a chance to roam the grounds of this historic and cultural icon of French heritage here in the Old City and hope to get a chance on another visit to get indoors on a tour. Regardless, the exterior is breathless in its architectural and historic showmanship of culture and history for the Province. The individual statutes mounted on its front facade I was able to relate to coming in front Montréal. Grounds were spectacular and a pleasing walk around for us on this visit.
