Mrs Ferg Beach Street

In Queenstown it felt like Ferg’s anything is THE PLACE to go to. No matter whether it’s Fergsburger, Mrs Fergs, Fergs Baker or Ferg’s bar, it’s like everything this Ferg company touches turns to gold. We tried Mrs Ferg after dinner tonight. You can taste test icecream first before buying, and their double espresso chocolate chip was delicious! Kiddo chose vanilla, and I could definitely see specks of vanilla bean on their icecream! Hubby had salted caramel, he said their icecream is much better than Patongia down the road (although pls note we did not try Patagonia’s caramel icecream, don’t even know if they have a caramel flavour!) The only gripe I had is that the shop is very stuffy, when the weather gets hot and there is no air con the inside is stifling- I guess best time to eat more icecream! 🤣 The toilets are a bit manky too 🤢 try going somewhere else even if you are desperate! ☹️

Made it the trifecta today with Ferg Baker for lunch and Mrs Ferg Beach St. for post dinner dessert. It’s a well presented shop, with tons of treats and heaps of options. Staff were pretty friendly, and the flavours were all very tasty. I strayed away from my usual flavours (at least one of them), and opted for a cone of blueberry yoghurt (sublime!), and chocolate gelato (intense chocolate but not too bitter). Yeah, will most like pay them another visit before we leave town!

Came by for dessert after passing it a few times. The thing that stood out to me was the Boston ice cream sandwich. They sandwiched an ice cream of your flavour in between their Boston cream buns, which is then served with chocolate sauce. Tasty and quite filling. They also had other desserts like ice cream sundaes. Plenty of delicious options and it is usually closer than their main branch on Shotover Street. We stopped by later in the evening so there was usually seats available.
