Brixx Wood Fired Pizza

Kids pizza for our children. They ate it up. Asked for half pepperoni and half cheese. Daughter said the pepperoni was too spicy. Ordered online, went inside to the bar, paid for the pizza and waited at least 5 to 10 minutes for the pizza to be ready. Plenty of seating, bathroom is nice and the people and bar are nice too.

We were a group of 14 there to celebrate a birthday as our first choice for dinner wouldn't be able to accommodate us for an hour and the management here was. I wish that I could remember the name of our waitress as she was very attentive and helpful. I ordered a pizza and when I tasted it I found it tasted soapy. Our waitress took it away immediately and had it remade. It turned out to be the fresh Italian thyme which had been liberally sprinkled into the first pizza. Crisis averted. LOL We had two children with us and they had personal pizzas and one had even had a kid's salad which was larger than expected with very fresh ingredients.

We had just finished a long hike through the state park earlier that day, and we were very hungry. Neither of us had eaten here before, but we love wood-fired pizza and thought we'd give it a try. I'm glad we did! I had the Ceasar Salad with substituted White Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing and an Arnie (sweet iced tea & lemonade). My husband ordered the Americo Pizza, and we split an order of Brixx Stixx. All the food arrived quickly and tasted great! Our server, Taylor P., was friendly and attentive, and refills were brought out even before we could ask for them! If we are ever in this area again, we will return to eat again.

Service was great, attentive, friendly. We both got mixed drinks - they seemed weak, overly sweet. Definitely unimpressed. Tried the hummus duo - red pepper one is spicy, good. The regular one was solid. The flatbread was delicious. For dinner we ordered the shrimp scampi. That recipe needs to be reworked. Bland, absolutely uninteresting. We also had the Penne Pomodoro with meatballs. That was freakin’ awesome. I would go back just for that. The sauce was incredible, the meatballs perfect texture, and it was piping hot.
