Orchid Japanese Restaurant

Went here for the first time today, and this place was so good! Is it fancy sushi, well no. However, it tastes way better than a lot of other places (way better than the other AYCE Rockin’ Rolls) and the fact that there’s quite a lot of sushi, hibachi and appetizer options for only $30 really is a great deal. We drove nearly an hour to this place, and we’ll definitely return!

If you are looking for all you can eat sushi, look no further. This is the BEST all you eat place I have ever been to! The system they use to take orders makes the process so smooth. All you do is use the marker at your table to mark, on the menu, the rolls and appetizers you would like. Then you turn on the light at your table and the server comes and takes the menu. Granted there are rules to this process but that is expected at any sushi place. I have been multiple times and have had an excellent experience each time. Keep up the good work!

Orchid's manages to be some of the best sushi with the quickest service with the kindest staff in the area. Time after time, they are consistent at providing amazing service and incredible food, no matter how busy the place is. Their menu system is one of the reasons why I love this place. With just a marker and a laminated menu, you mark your order and place it to the side. Within seconds someone has already picked up your order, and it's only a minute or two before your food is on the table. It's astonishing how fast they are sometimes. If you love an all you can eat style sushi spot, Orchid's is a must-try for the area.

Good for all you can eat. Love that the rolls were made fresh to order. Totally missed the custom roll option since there were just sooooo many choices and we didn't want to over order. Kinda wish they came with fewer pieces so I could've tried more. Going with more than one person would definitely help with that. Would visit again.

Contrary to what other reviewers have said, this is not a good place to go to "try" sushi. Because if you don't like a roll you order, then they charge you $1 per uneaten piece. During and after Covid, they seem to be more rigid about this rule. Also, you can only order two rolls at once. So as long as you know what you like, this IS a good place to get sushi. It's good quality, and you have a bunch of add-ons that are delicious, too. I like the pork gyoza, shrimp tempura, shumai (shrimp nugget), crab wontons, and especially the ginger salad. There's something about that salad that makes me eat about four of them per visit. At lunch time, the rolls are more basic, with just two specialty ones available, and they're both deep fried. Mine today were overdone. In retrospect, I should have asked that they be taken back and had new ones made. But other than that, it's just create-your-own type rolls where you choose 2-3 items as contents for your roll. Good, but basic. I was definitely using the wasabi and ginger and even soy to help give my rolls more flavor. Last time I was here, it was dinner, and I was able to try several of their specialty rolls, but more than half I didn't like (well-made, just not my preference) but I was forced to eat them, due to their miserly rules. I walked out that day overly full, but in a bad way, and thinking I;d probably never return. If you see a specialty roll on the menu that looks intriguing.... it's a risk, it turns out. You have to then eat a roll you don't like, using up stomach space that a roll you would like could have taken. I understand that they're keeping people from wasting food, but there has to be some middle ground. If you're new to sushi, or just want to try some new things, come here with a buddy or two, who can take up the slack if you don't like something.

We would like to put Orchid in the list of our favorite sushi places. We got Can Eat All menu with $30/ person. We enjoyed many kind of rolls, fresh fishes such as salmon, tuna, white tuna and shrimp. Seaweeds salad and soup are tasty. The orders came quickly and great services. But The restroom is not clean, hope it will improve in cleaning. I guess $20/ each person is also a good deal for lunch but doesn’t have many kinds of rolls.
