Sushi Blues

Pretty good sushi and BOGO when we went. Fish was fresh but we also had some cooked rolls that were also good. Favorite of the four we had was the salmon skin roll. It's in a hip area with tons of eateries that have indoor and outdoor seating, saw a couple people eating outside with their dogs. There is street parking at meters or free parking on the side streets.

We visited this location about 2 hours before close. Upon the servers recommendation, we ordered some popular and favorite sushi rolls and a beef Yakisoba. My partner said his sushi was fine; nothing to crave and need to come back for, but he finished all 4 rolls. My edited Yakisoba was an all-around disappointment. The carrots were more than half raw, the onions were unevenly cooked as well, and to top it off, I chewed down on a bone that wasn't supposed to be there. My meal was replaced with a beef pho, but they make it with beef strips rather than thin slices, the spices for the broth are slightly off (tasted strong of clove) and there werent many noodles. It wasn't my favorite, but it was good. Overall, we wouldn't say it's a must go, but for a budget friendly place, its not a bad recommendation.

My boyfriend and I went to Sushi Blues Cafe before going to a concert. We got there at 4 and were done eating and talking by 4:50. There was no wait, so we were able to eat outside in the good fall weather. Service was excellent! Our waitress was really sweet and funny. There is a wide variety of sushi, not to mention their BOGO deal. My boyfriend paid $30 for 4 different kinds specialty of sushi. The sushi was fresh; it was great in quality and quantity. I got so full after eating 7 or 8 rolls but I couldn’t stop eating. Mandatory Eat for Raleigh! I bring everyone I know who comes to visit in Raleigh to Sushi Blues and they rave about it there, when they leave and can’t wait to come back I always get the rainbow roll deep fried! Yes! You can deep fry any roll! With the spicy mayo and eel sauce Treat your taste buds and get the spicy mayo and eel sauce with everything! Drink wise! Ladies… get the stardust drink or lychee margarita! Trust me ❤️

I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. One thing I love is that the food quality is always consistently great✨️. The service is good, and the servers are always patient, attentive,and friendly. If I had more thumbs, I would give it 3 thumbs up. Great tasting food with a chill vibe. It's my favorite place for sushi in Raleigh.

We came here with our kids and had a nice time. The rolls are BOGO - they just take off the lowest priced ones at the end. The rolls are good - not the best you’ll ever have but good and considering the price, great value. Our kids loved the dumplings - the steamed shrimp shumai and pan fried. They had a cool vibe and good 90s tunes playing.

The vibe is cool and the sushi was really yummy, but it was a super long wait (like almost 40 minutes) to get it and I’m not sure why because we were here on a Thursday afternoon and there weren’t very many customers. So idk if that’s normal or not, but if you’re in a hurry I wouldn’t chance it. Luckily, we weren’t so our party of three just chatted and made the best of the wait. When the sushi was finally brought out, though, it was delicious. Love that it’s BOGO so we could all order a couple different kinds of rolls to get a good sampling. There wasn’t one we had that we didn’t really enjoy, so I don’t think you can go wrong no matter what you order. We ordered the Steven Tyler, New York New York, David Thompson and one other that I can’t remember (sorry! 😬)
