El Tapatio Authentic Mexican Restaurant

Always good food at reasonable prices. Indoor and outdoor seating. Our favorite. We often try other Mexican restaurants, but keep coming back to El Tapatio. The problems they had following Covid have been totally addressed. The food it always good. The service is typically both rapid and helpful We often go for lunch, when they have daily specials for $6+. We have not been able to find a better combination of food, service, and price. Recommended.

From October 19, 2023 Chips and salsa was amazing. The burrito special was very good as well. Seemed like everything was fresh. My wife had the steak quesadilla and loved it. I'm not sure who the cook(s) were but they are keepers. If these cooks have been around a long time then it seems it might be hit or miss regarding food quality depending on who is cooking that day. From August 26, 2023 2nd time back since June. The food has gotten pretty bad over the last couple of months. Chips were stale. Salsa had some heat but no flavor. Shrimp tacos were terrible. I couldn't find any shrimp and they were flavorless. Not sure what is going on, but editing my assessment. From June 2023: Our overall experience was above average... The complimentary chips and salsa appetizer was very good and addictive 🙂 Sweet tea was very good. Shrimp tacos were very good. The Taco Salad was average. The service was very good timely and friendly. Our space was clean. The overall appearance seemed to be clean.

Went to this restaurant with my coworkers for a team event. The food was delicious! I had the Lunch Supreme Enchiladas. The environment is very inviting with lovely music and festive decor. Only thing that could improve is the service, but it appeared they were short staffed and the server did the best she could. I would definitely recommend the restaurant for the food and ambiance.

Love this place for great Mexican food and good margaritas. We've been coming here since we moved to the Wakefield area over 2yrs ago. On Tuesdays they do have 1.25 tacos either soft or hard. 👍🌮 Today I had a fajita taco salad andy husband had ACP he loves it here. I had a strawberry mango margarita. Service is also fast and good. They also have outdoor sititmg, we've brought our dog with us and sat outside on several occasions too.🐾🥰👌

Great neighborhood spot! Friendly staff, authentic decor from Mexico. The food was so fresh and made with few ingredients- You could really enjoy the flavors. The fresh guacamole was probably the best that I’ve ever had- so delicious. There was just the right amount of cilantro and lime- it was so savory! We never leave a Mexican restaurant without enjoying fried Ice cream!!! It was a little different than we’re use to, but just as good! I’ll definitely have it again.
