Locals Oyster Bar

Not sure how I haven't reviewed Locals before now - it's one of my favorite spots and I'm always bringing new folks here for good food and good cocktails with lovely staff. Haven't had a bad experience yet! You can sit at the bar or get a table - weeknights are pretty casual and I've never had to wait for a table. It's a great spot for a date - not too too fancy, but nice enough it feels like a night out. Grab your food to go at lunch and eat on the big patio when it's nice out! There's parking in the lot behind the building, but it's often full, so plan for some time to drive the block and find street parking.

Fresh and delicious seafood with a flare for the adventurous. Try the fried fish collars, you won’t be disappointed. They're the chicken wings of fish, deep fried to perfection with a tasty and crunchy crust. The portions are very generous and the quality is constantly great. This restaurant is located in the Transfer Food Hall so if your partner doesn't like seafood there are plenty of other great options for food and great beer. The seat inside is plentiful and the weather is nice then you can enjoy the outdoor seating too.

The oysters were small but very good and the service I had from bartenders Devon and Rob was really great. I tried a drink outside of my comfort zone and Rob sensed I wasn’t a huge fan. He probed about my drink preferences and made me this amazing gin drink! Overall great experience, I will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious! The oysters were clean and PERFECTLY shucked! We enjoyed the fish dip with crackers, peel and eat shrimp, and also the Calabash platter. Just amazing! Drinks were on point as well. The atmosphere and staff were friendly. Mask protocols were in effect. I felt safe and enjoyed my first outing with hubby. It was quite a treat to find this hidden jem! We will definitely be coming back!
