Starbucks

I ordered a grande Americano with oat milk, and I got a grande Americano with oat milk. What more can you ask for? The coffee tastes consistently similar and familiar to other airport Starbucks locations. The wait time was a typical duration that any reasonable, patient person would expect from a busy, centrally located Starbucks in an international airport. I am a casualty of the post-pandemic flight cancellations, and therefore I ended up spending over 12 hours at RDU. With this abundance of free time, I walked the entire length of the airport and perused all of the businesses. Having ordered at both Starbucks locations in RDU, I can only conclude that the abundance of negative reviews for this particular Starbucks that is located directly below the security clearance area must be from entirely unempathic individuals with overly high expectations for their beverage. This is the most highly trafficked Starbucks in the airport, which is immediately obvious and easily observable to anyone with functioning eyes because it has an extremely long line area sectioned off before the cashier. It also appears to be chronically understaffed - with one girl at the cash, and only three barista's making drinks for an endless line of customers. Adjust your expectations, and if you're short on time; take a quick walk to the other end of the terminal because the second Starbucks located at the end of Terminal 2 has a much shorter wait time on average.
