I had a platter for 1. I was impressed. From the moment I walked in, the friendly host seated us promptly. The atmosphere was warm. The food was delicious and amazing!

A lovely fresh seafood lunch. A pity that more people don't frequent the Ocean Basket, the restaurant was quiet and quite empty. The service was excellent and the meals were well prepared.

Food is always fresh and tasty here. I ordered a cappuccino with cream and it seems their cream was quite sweet. I did enjoy it though but someone who is diabetic may not.
Their platter for two sauce was a bit different i usually get a lemon butter sauce but i was not asked what sauce to add. The sauce was a bit grainy but i enjoyed the platter overall with my aunt.

We often find Ocean Basket's food offering to be rather mediocre and overcooked. But not yesterday when we went there for lunch. It was during loadshedding, but that did not prevent them from serving freshly prepared and very delicious food. We tried the grilled sea bream with a side of tempura zucchini - WOW! Hugely recommended!!! Thanks to Gloria for great service too.

I’m gonna give 5 stars because it’s not the overall service I’m after. It’s the famous ocean basket lemon butter sauce … which I think is a problem everywhere. What happened? Did the recipe change? It used to be the reason I’d eat at ocean basket. It was so good the recipe is still freely available online. Everyone except ocean basket makes it. Now it’s just melted margarine with a suggestion of possibly the slight smell of… lemon??

Greek dancing on a Friday night... that was fun. We've eaten here many times and were pleasantly surprised to turn up on the night they offered Greek dancing. What a treat! Hope this can become a regular occurrence.

Quaint, peaceful and all round chilled Ocean Basket. I came in on a Wednesday and it was super quiet. Waiters were friendly and food arrived rather fast
